We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Well, the jury in the Federal courthouse in Alexandria decided that Moussaoui is "eligible" for the death penalty. That is only step one. Step two is for prosecutors to convince the same jury he should actually be put to death. The first hope is that the prosecutors don't bungle their case as badly as they did in the first part of the penalty phase of this trial--if it wasn't for Moussaoui's stunning testimony, we wouldn't be here today.
Nevertheless, four and a half years after the worst attack on American soil since World War II, the first conspirator in the plot has been put in a position to die for his crimes.
The prosecution has outlined their case:
Beginning on April 6, the jury will:
** get testimony about the horrific destruction that day;
** see a videotape of people jumping out of the World Trade Center;
** hear 911 calls from people trapped in the towers;
** have read out by prosecutors the names of every victim;
** be provided photographs of as many victims as possible:
** receive testimony from 40 family members.
Meanwhile, the defense is planning:
** to talk about Moussaoui's troubled childhood;
** to show that Moussaoui is mentally unstable
On his part, Moussaoui is said to object to the efforts of his attorneys to introduce evidence about his mental state.
Stay tuned...
In other news...
Tom DeLay announced that he will not seek re-election to Congress and that he will leave that body.
Canada has announced they do not intend to re-introduce legislation that died in Parliament last year which would have legalized small doses of marijuana.
And there are reports that Hollywierd is beginning to sour on Hitlery, calling her, depending on whom is doing the talking, either too conservative, too polarizing, too famous, too stiff, or too sexy.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
My radishes are up, but my beans and peppers are still thinking about it. I've transplanted some tomato plants into larger pots, then will transfer them to galvanized tubs along the fence. I'll train them to climb the fence along with the cucumbers and melons. I have some bush squash plant seeds that I will be planting in a few minutes. Plus I'm going to plant some Kohlrabi. I just love them raw with a dip. I'm looking for some fennel seeds, so far I've found none. I'll keep looking.
Gotta start dinner. Boy 1 is coming over in a little while to play golf with Roomey.
You Chicks are sure doing a bang up business Toby. Wish we had some fresh eggs around here.
I have never eaten kohlrabi. I always think it looks like something the Klingons would grow.
It tastes like Cabbage Heart.
HA-HA! I snuck my 59th birthday through and nobody noticed!
Some of the curly willow branches that were included in the funeral flower arrangements had sprung roots, so I have them in water and think I will try to pot them and start them. Curly willow, those weird alliums, and kohlrabi would be a good start on my Dr. Seuss garden.
He's on that same rose kick!
What's with you guys?
I love roses.
His newest two are climbing roses.
Nice touch for the white picket fence.
He is absolutely thrilled to be back home in our beloved South for Springtime.
His first Southern Spring in decades!
Thank you, Lady!
Thank you, Miss Marple! I spent the day in my hotel room with the same crap that brought down the Duchess and Da Kid on Sunday.
It is really quite good. You should eat it every day, then EVERY DAY IS A GOOD DAY TO DIE!
funny!!!

That which does not kill us.... just makes us freaking miserable.
Happy Birthday, and I hope you make a quick recovery.

Talk about cultural differences... He thought I was crazy to want to get rid of the nasty shower, and replace it with a cast-iron, enameled, four-footed deep tub. I told him that I would sacrifice him in a volcano (if we had them here) to have a tub again.
The french aversion to water is not antecdotal. It is REAL.
Anywho... I'm going to make some measurements, and get on the CAD-CAM program du jour, and make up my wish list.
Wish lists don't cost anything, and eventually, I may get some of what I want.
Bathtub is FIRST. ;>) Just to stick a thumb in a certain eye.
