GOOD A.M. MOST HONORABLE CHAIR, ALL, FROM THE MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST, USA, BRUISED BUT NOT BROKEN!!!!
I had a most pleasant conversation with a young man from Ill going to shool in MI, a cousin to the lady who has that BAD child, he is down here for clean up with 100 students from the college he goes to. He had to pat 125.00 for bus fair. he was shocked to see what the coast looks like and to see folks still living in tents on the slabs of their homes. I am telling you folks that FEMA and really botched this 'response' to us here on the coast. Same in NO but they get things faster that we do cause of folks like Jessie Jackson, they kowtow to him, government I am talking about. But, what the heck, here it is 'can I help you'. there it is 'gimmie, gimmie, gimmie'. With this young man and his friends from school we are seeing and experiencing the 'what can I do for you'.
Know what we are learning? Just who the pubs are turn coats that are turning their backs to the President, to our party and to us.
The kids leave Friday AM about 2 AM to go to Disneyland, will be gone 15 days and you would not believe what all D has cooked for me while she is gone and has frozen it, you name it, it is in the freezer. They want me to go but gotta tell you, they need that time to themselves, to get away from this ole coot, to have some 'quality' time, besides, that bad kid is going to be there with her parents and ain't no way could I put up with 'monster' for two weeks.
Well, gotta do some house cleaning in my 'shack in the back', mop the floor, dust, should take about 15 or 20 minutes and a break or two is included in time frame. I will check in more often being my computer is with me now.
Talk to you all later.

Well, I've got to go Thursday to have a wee bit more minor surgery ... and I'm praising God about it!
Last week I was scheduled to have one mole removed from my leg. When the doc came in to mark it, on the spur of the moment he decided to also do a punch biopsy on another one nearby.
The lab report has come back and the second one ... the punch biopsy rather than the full excision ... was classified as "moderate to severe atypical." On the scale that is used, the next step beyond 'severe atypical' is melanoma.
I go in Thursday to have the area fully excised (to you in Rio Linda, that means cut out ... LOL!) to make sure that all the atypical cells are removed.
The reason that I am praising God is that if the doctor had not had that last minute impulse to take a look at the second one, I would probably not have gone back for another skin check-up for a year ... and would probably have had full-fledged melanoma by then.
I've had it once before ... 32 years ago.
..... Please, all of you, if you notice a mole changing or any peculiar places on your skin, get to a doctor NOW. If melanoma is caught early, it's removed simply (generally in a doctor's office as mine have been) and is over ... gone ... kaput. But if it has a chance to metastasize ... i.e., get into your blood stream or lymph system, often the result is that it is fatal within a year.

He's the same one that correctly identified the basal cell carcinoma on my face before removing it and having the biopsy confirm his diagnosis. My trust in him continues to grow ... :-)
I guess it's too early for you to see any improvement in your shoulder? Is a cortisone shot a possibility? I hear that they work miracles, though are not fun to endure.

I was cold-packing it from day one..but I was taking Tylenol which is a pain reliever not a great anti-inflammatory. Yesterday I started with Advil. What a difference! I need to pamper that shoulder because after several injuries there, it is definitely a weak spot.
Funny thing is I'm right handed, and yet, I tend to put more pressure on my weaker, left shoulder. Go figure!

I'm so glad your doctor caught that, kayak. It's frightening to think this could have been so easily missed.
I just turned on FNC and there are huge street demonstrations in France; huge.

Oh sweetie, thanks for letting us know so we can keep you in prayer. All will be well, and yes, thank goodness for that wise and careful dr.
Gosh this a.m. I was so excited about upcoming Opening Day...then I learned that a longtime friend's in the hospital, and Cap Weinberger has died so close to Lyn Nofziger, and that has made me nostalgic for Reagan, and the amazing figure he was...
And now all of a sudden I'm feeling kinda blue...

Oh Molly, don't be blue. the wheel's of life keep turning. It is sad to miss these people who were so very influential in the Reagan years, but then again, we don't have Reagan here on earth either. Those words are small consolantion and probably did nothing to cheer you up, but take solace in knowing that we understand.

Greeting all. Just a brief drive-by posting before I head out to my gig.
6 more resumes out today. One actually went to a real human being.
God bless us all.

Thanks for giving us a 'reminder' to seek a Dermatologist's advice regarding issues relating to our skin. I was needing a slap up the side of the head, and you gave it to me. My appointment is Friday.
Prayers for a good outcome with your situation.
