I think they apologized to Kat because of all of the phone calls after the show to Fox. Otherwise, they wouldn't have.

More than likely.

As an aside, things have just gotten infinately more interesting.

Earlier today I wrote an email to Vote For the Worst, asking them to consider helping Taylor out, by selecting him as their next contestant. I explained the various things we'eve discussed recently, such as Simon's drunk remarks, the awful lighting, the last minute song changes, how Try a little Tenderness really IS a love song and Nigle lied saying it wasn't. I suggested the best way to get back at AI and Cowell would be to endorse Hicks.

Anyway, I haven't heard back from them yet, but I just popped into their site and see they have chosen their new contestant. TAYLOR HICKS!

From looking at their forum it seems the Soul Patrol is all for it! We don't care where the votes come from, hee hee.

Seems a lot of Vote For The Worst actually like him because he is the anti idol. He's not a pop tart! LOL

WOOOOOOOO.... Soul Patrol!

That all said...I'm rooting for Elliott or Taylor to win

Me too. Re the songs next week, they do two, one from the year they were born and any song from this week’s Top 10 Billboard Charts. We've been talking about songs for Taylor from 1976 because that's the year he was born. Just FYI, the top 10 songs on the four most important Billboard charts are below. The lists won't change for next week's show, because Billboard updates their charts on Thursdays.

Billboard Hot 100 chart:

1. Bad Day by Daniel Powter
2. Temperature by Sean Paul
3. What You Know by T.I
4. Ridin' by Chamillionaire Featuring Krayzie Bone
5. Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield
6. Control Myself by LL Cool J Featuring Jennifer Lopez
7. Lean Wit It, Rock Wit It by Dem Franchize Boyz Featuring Lil Peanut & Charlay
8. You're Beautiful by James Blunt
9. Ms. New Booty by Bubba Sparxxx Featuring Ying Yang Twins & Mr. ColliPark
10. Dani California by Red Hot Chili Peppers

Billboard Pop 100 chart:

1. Bad Day by Daniel Powter
2. Temperature by Sean Paul
3. Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield
4. You're Beautiful by James Blunt
5. Control Myself by LL Cool J Featuring Jennifer Lopez
6. Walk Away by Kelly Clarkson
7. SOS by Rihanna
8. Everytime We Touch by Cascada
9. Let U Go by Ashley Parker Angel
10. Be Without You by Mary J. Blige

Billboard Hot Country chart:

1. Who Says You Can't Go Home by Bon Jovi, duet with Jennifer Nettles
2. What Hurts The Most by Rascal Flatts
3. Why by Jason Aldean
4. Wherever You Are by Jack Ingram
5. The Lucky One by Faith Hill
6. Settle For A Slowdown by Dierks Bently
7. Something's Gotta Give by LeAnn Rimes
8. Believe by Brooks & Dunn
9. When The Stars Go Blue by Tim McGraw
10. Tonight I Wanna Cry by Keith Urban

Billboard Adult Contemporary chart:

1. Your Beautiful by James Blunt
2. Bad Day by Daniel Powter
3. Because of You by Kelly Clarkson
4. You and Me by Lifehouse
5. Save The Last Dance For Me by Michael Buble
6. Making Memories of Us by Keith Urban
7. Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield
8. Lonely No More by Rob Thomas
9. Tonight I Wanna Cry by Keith Urban
10. Like We Never Loved At All by Faith Hill

There are other Billboard charts, including Modern Rock, R&B/HipHop, Latin, etc. But the top few songs in those genres normally are on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, which combines all genres. For example, Dani California is the #1 song on the Modern Rock chart, while What You Know and Be Without You are 1 and 2 on the R&B/HipHop chart.

Thanks for the lyrics, misterrob. I went over to the MSN music store and listened to a clip. WOW! That is a GREAT, great song for Taylor. Absolutely perfect for his voice.

To me this site is for cynical 20 somethings who believe in Haliburton/neocon conspiracies. To them everyone sucks.

Funny picture though...

Actually, they like Taylor and are hopin he will give a shout out to their site owner! They are getting the biggest laugh out of the merging of VFTW with Soul Patrolers. Soul Patrolers have joined VFTW's site and they are mingling and having fun. VFTW sent an email to one of the Hicks site extending the olive branch, their words. LOL

Wonder how Taylor would do with "The Tracks of My Tears"(Linda Ronstadt in 1976 but orignially a Motown classic by Smokey Robinson.) "Cupid"(Tony Orlando in 1976 but originally Sam Cooke) is another that caught my eye. "Only Sixteen"(Dr. Hook 1976) is another Sam Cooke song on the list but Taylor's gray hair might may that one a little creepy.:-O

Looking through 1979(Elliott) and having trouble. Maybe "I'll Never Love This Way Again"(Dionne Warwick) or "We've Got Tonight"(Bob Seger).
