Ace sings better, moves better on stage and is simply GREAT looking. He's got it all, the entire package.

Ace's voice was horrendous. Please fix your TV speakers.

You need to go back and read the AI live thread from last year. This thread has ALWAYS been about making fun of the contestants, and it always will be. Those people put themselves on a REALITY show, for goodness sakes. The whole show is set up to make fun of people (Simon Cowell---hello!!).

Any talk is good talk to the publicity hungry.

[Kellie] swears like a truck driver

Well, of COURSE she does! She's a good Southern girl! LOL! Listen, I went to Texas CHRISTIAN University, and some of those pampered little sorority chicks could absolutely curl your hair!

4) Kat has a 40 something year old Greek boyfriend.

Wow. What an astounding idea (if accurate). Is he a shipping magnate or something? Hard to imagine her with someone that old unless he's loaded.

I thought she nailed that song, and they did owe her and the audience an apology!

Thank you for saying that. I agree. Right is right, even if it's late.

They all had good things to say about Kellie, as well. Remember, you only get to see what AI wants you to see. Remember the Ace/Queen controversy?

I think with Kellie some of them were just being polite. Yes I think Kellie has a lot of natural talent, and with some coaching and voice lessons, she may have a future singing or acting. She DID make it this far without any training at all!

Yes I remember the Ace/Queen controversy! After watching the AI clip of his time with Queen even Ace was demoralized and ready to throw in the towel. I thought the judges job was to provide constructive criticism. Early on, their comments could be helpful if taken to heart by the contestant, but now they have become opinion rather than advice. If this continues as it has...what do we need them for? Isn't the public still going to vote for who they like?

I can't imagine her with anyone except a guy like that :)

****Kellie didn't hear him at first, so he repeated it,***

With alot of those interviews theres a delay with the satelitte feed. Usually the AI cat-offs make a cameo appearance on the Jay Leno show on thursday nights so maybe we'll get to see her tonight.

McPhee does have that "trophy wife" aura to her, doesn't she? :)

How about "Let's just kiss and say goodbye" - The Manhattans

That would be a good one too.

Even when AI has the rights, they can poopcan a singer's choice, as they did Taylor this past week.

I know. I don't understand why, though. I thought the song choice was supposed to be entirely up to the contestant.

How about "2 out of 3" by Meatloaf?

I don't know that one. Will have to go over to MSN Music and listen to a clip.

Another GREAT option for Taylor. He could have a blast doing this song. Right in his vocal wheelhouse as well.

Yep, there are a bunch of good ones for Taylor to choose from.

Just curious, but who is already on the market that is anything like her, whose music you would buy?

I think there are some wonderful female singers around these days. I'll leave former AI winners out of it. In the country genre, I really, really like Gretchen Wilson. Faith Hill and Shania Twain are outstanding. In the pop genre, although I'm personally not crazy about her latest album, Mariah Carey is an icon. Natasha Bedingfield and Mary J. Blige are terrific. Mary J. Blige and Mariah are actually cross-over from R&B to pop.

Norah Jones, who's more pop/adult contemporary/jazz, is outstanding.

Anyway, that's a few names for you.

I deliberately didn't mention Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson and Diana DeGarmo from AI. All of them can sing rings around McPhee. Of course, that's just my opinion.

BTW, Katharine never saw the day she could sing as well as Bette Midler when the latter was in her prime. I just caught "The Rose" recently on cable TV. I don't like Midler much as a person, but my goodness, that woman could tear the heart out of you with her music.

Lyrics
Baby we can talk all night
But that ain't gettin' us nowhere
I told you everything I possibly can
There's nothing left inside of here

And maybe you can cry all night
But that'll never change the way I feel
The snow is really piling up outside
I wish you wouldn't make me leave here

I poured it on and I poured it out
I tried to show you just how much I care
I'm tired of words and I'm too hoarse to shout
But you've been cold to me so long
I'm crying icicles instead of tears

And all I can do is keep on telling you
I want you, I need you
But-there ain't no way I'm ever gonna love you
Now don't be sad
'Cause two out of three ain't bad
Now don't be sad
'Cause two out of three ain't bad

You'll never find your gold on a sandy beach
You'll never drill for oil on a city street
I know you're looking for a ruby in a mountain of rocks
But there ain't no Coup de Ville hiding at the bottom
of a Cracker Jack box

I can't lie, I can't tell you something I'm not
No matter how I try
I'll never be able to give you something
Something that I just haven't got

There's only one girl I'll ever love
And that was so many years ago
And though I know I'll never get her out of my heart
She never loved me back
Ooh I know
I remember how she left me on a stormy night
She kissed me and got out of our bed
And though I pleaded and I begged her not to walk out that door
She packed her bags and turned right away

And she kept on telling me
She kept on telling me
She kept on telling me
I want you, I need you
But there ain't no way I'm ever gonna love you
Now don't be sad
'Cause two out of three ain't bad
I want you, I need you
But there ain't no way I'm ever gonna love you
Now don't be sad
'Cause two out of three ain't bad

Baby we can talk all night
But that ain't getting us nowhere
