Uh-huh. I guess Manilow and Foster and Rogers and Randy all don't know anything about music, but you do.

It's almost like they want to sabotage Kellie and Taylor. Ballads weren't their strong suit and they did them 2 weeks in a row. That almost assured that one of them would be headed home. I think Taylor could do ballads, but when they pull the rug out from under you after several days of practicing, it would be hard to give a WOW performance on such short notice. That's three times/weeks that we know of that they made him change songs.

Thrilled!! I nearly cried this morning when it was official. So happy for him, but sad he's got to leave FR. I saw on some thread someone suggested he sign up with a new top secret name, "Frosty". ;-)

I have heard, Disco Night, Idol Songs (whatever that means) and get this, songs released the year that Idols were born in. Please no Disco!!! No good can come from that.
I think it's supposed to be Idol songs--songs from past Idol contestants.

ok thank you....and i take that as an insult....i may not know "NOTHING" about music but I do know what I like - be it country, ballads, gospel, whatever but there's no need to insult anybody just because they happen to like a certain singer....AND I LOVE TAYLOR!!!! And according to folks who know Taylor, he's a great guy and there's NOTHING phoney about him....

Not only did Paris not need it, it sounds like she didn't even WANT it. Maybe she still doesn't. I get the idea that some of these contestants KNOW that the fix is in. Taylor's hang-dog look is bothering me. I'm not so sure that he is enjoying this farce any longer. If the fans are sensing that this thing is rigged, imagine what it's like to actually have to live it.

That hate for her on this thread is pretty deep. Memo to self: Buy Melissa LAmbert CD.

The problem that many people have with her is that they do not buy the story that she has been telling. Who's to say what's really true but may of the comments about her deal with people not buying her dumb blonde act and how she seems to push that in order to manipulate the public.

Don't even try. Had this conversation with that guy last week (maybe the week before.) It's a pointless battle. He/she thinks nobody else has any knowledge about music or any kind of ear, and that Taylor sucks. (Who cares that I used to work in the industry...I certainly couldn't spot talent when I see it.) Save your typing fingers!

Kellie Rules!!
Yeah, baby!!!

Simon is on record saying he is "scared to death" America will vote Taylor in as the next Idol. The clincher for me is telling Taylor after days of rehearsal that "Try a Little Tenderness" is not an acceptable love song. Also, bad lighting and sound that suddenly works great for the chosen ones.
Hey, Taylor will be fine no matter when he leaves the show, and certainly much better off than before it. But I am tired of AI pretending to be something it isn't.

Wow! I'm sure in agreement with you on this.
:( Terrible way to feel isn't it? Oh well....sigh. Just got home and watched my tape. Felt bad for Kellie but it was for the best. She just was not up to par with the rest.
To: silent_jonny
If Kat tries to do Kelly Clarkson she's going home next.
