Taylor should have sang Georgia or Seven Spanish Angels, but I love his dancing. I am also a fan of silly walks.
I know ... by all rights, Bucky should've gone tonight. He's the weakest of the bunch.
Absolutely. I knew from the outset Mandisa didn't have a hope of winning because of her weight. Our society is not very tolerant of truly obese people, but especially of such women. But Mandisa has much to recommend her.
She's gone because she's fat.
I hope Chris does "Tie Your Mother Down".
Mandesa didn't deserve to be cut. She had soul.
I totally agree, and am totally bummed. I suppose I should get used to it, 'though -- there are four faves left, and "there can be only one".
: /
No, he isn't. He has stage presence but he's nothing to write home about as a vocalist. If you voted based on performance last night he should have been the one to go home tonight.
I used to be a huge Kenny Rogers fan. Then I paid big bucks (for a college student) to see him in concert...and he lip synced. I was really PO'ed. I thought his was good looking, and now he's even ruined his looks.
Duh, but overall....Mandisa has better chops than most professionals. I'd listen to her over Kelly any day...

How lousy and sad!
Yep. But Mandisa has plenty of talent and fans and I think she can make a career for herself.
Thanks. This Queen song would be too funny for next week:
The Loser In The End
Written by Roger Taylor
Mama's gotta problem
She don't know what to say
Her little baby boy has just left home today
She's got to be the loser in the end
She's got to be the loser in the end
Misuse her and you'll lose her as a friend
She's Ma on whom you can always depend, ooh hoo
She washed and fed, and clothed and cared
For nearly twenty years
And all she gets is 'goodbye Ma'
And the night times for her tears
She's got to be the loser in the end
She's got to be the loser in the end
Misuse her and you'll lose her as a friend (yeah)
She's Ma on whom you can always depend, ooh hoo ooh ooh ooh
We'll hear ya talkin' now
So listen mothers everywhere
To just one mother's son
You'll get forgotten all the way
If you don't let them have their fun
Forget regrets, and just remember
It's not so long since you were young
You're bound to be the loser in the end
You're bound to be the loser in the end
They'll choose their new shoes, that's not far to bend
You're Ma on whom they can always depend, ooh hoo ooh ooh ooh
I know ... by all rights, Bucky should've gone tonight. He's the weakest of the bunch. He really is. He's sweet, but, like, whatever.
Bucky stays over Gedeon, Mandisa or Kevin for that matter?
There's no reason why he should be there over them. He has had 2-3 marginal performances and some really bad ones. But, rather than vote on talent and performances, we gotta vote for the country boy.
Or this one:
The Show Must Go On
Written by Queen
Empty spaces - what are we living for
Abandoned places - I guess we know the score
On and on, does anybody know what we are looking for...
Another hero, another mindless crime
Behind the curtain, in the pantomime
Hold the line, does anybody want to take it anymore
The show must go on
The show must go on, yeah
Inside my heart is breaking
My make-up may be flaking
But my smile still stays on
Whatever happens, I'll leave it all to chance
Another heartache, another failed romance
On and on, does anybody know what we are living for ?
I guess I'm learning (I'm learning learning learning)
I must be warmer now
I'll soon be turning (turning turning turning)
Round the corner now
Outside the dawn is breaking
But inside in the dark I'm aching to be free
The show must go on
The show must go on, yeah yeah
Ooh, inside my heart is breaking
My make-up may be flaking
But my smile still stays on
Yeah yeah, whoa wo oh oh
My soul is painted like the wings of butterflies
Fairytales of yesterday will grow but never die
I can fly - my friends
The show must go on (go on, go on, go on) yeah yeah
The show must go on (go on, go on, go on)
I'll face it with a grin
I'm never giving in
On - with the show
Ooh, I'll top the bill, I'll overkill
I have to find the will to carry on
On with the show
On with the show
The show - the show must go on
Go on, go on, go on, go on, go on
Go on, go on, go on, go on, go on
Go on, go on, go on, go on, go on
Go on, go on, go on, go on, go on
Go on, go on
Good question! They'll probably avoid that one like the plague, though--don't want to send the wrong signals :)
We hope to have the Hillar film done by this summer.
Didn't hurt Taylor one bit. Nor Chris last week.
Dail Idol was better than Tradesports and AOL this week.
Tradesports hasn't been good at picking the one to "go."
They've had "Bucky" for the past 3 weeks.
