I managed to get through for Katherine only twice in one hour.
I missed Taylor tonight too. The clip at the end was just awful.
The song came out in 1999 and was written by Matt Scannell the lead singer of Vertical Horizon. I'm pretty sure it wasn't about suicide. Gary Allen's wife may have committed suicide and he adopted the song but that's not about why it was written.
Well it wasn't as bad as last week, but I was disappointed.
There's a great Country radio station here called "Country Legends" and that's exactly what they play: Waylon, Willie, Cash, Mel, Merle, The Possum :) And it's GREAT! So refreshing to hear genuine Country music.
I wish we could've heard some of that tonight instead of Shania and two Keith Urbans :-/
it would be funny if Mandisa got kicked off but, i wouldnt want to hear her sing that Shania Song again!
What network commish? I did not think it was CMT. I have a feeling that I might find that show a little more appealing than this years AI.

Chris was great! He totally redeemed himself from last week's scream-fest, even though he performed a wussy Keith Urban song.
Taylor ... oh boy. He wasn't good. There's no way around it. This should've been a breeze for him, but (like he has before) he chose a song that just didn't suit him or his voice.
Ace said one of the "tricks" he learned to "help" him...was to put eyeliner at the corner of his eyes to make them stand out more.
Really? LOL--he stands out, all right.
I haven't been through tonight's portion of the thread, but Mr. del agreed with me tonight that Pickler's performance reminded me of a young Tammy Wynnette. I wouldn't be surprised if that has already been mentioned. As ditzy as she is (and I have actually gone to COLLEGE with some girls from South Georgia who have talked and acted just like her-seriously) she may have a future in Nashville.

We don't even have any good country bars around here. I think that's one of the reasons mr. rk and I had such a great time in Nashville, country bar after country bar after country bar.
I can't believe no one sang any Toby Keith either. "How Do You Like Me Now?" seems like an obvious choice.
