I am a country fan, so for me this was a very good night.
MY rankings for tonight's performances :
1. Kellie
2. Chris
3. Bucky
4. Paris
5. Eliot
6. Mandisa
7. taylor
8. Katherine
9. Ace
Ace and katherine will be in the bottom 3. Third spot is wide open -- Bucky may have saved himself again. Eliot possible in bottom 3 if he didn't connect. Taylor could get a wake up call for playing it safe.

AFter the IRS took David ALlan Coes home in Key West, he went to live in a Tennessee Cave.
Did any of these songs have the required C&W lyrics?

"I just don't understand why he picked a John Denver song"Because it had the word country in it, I guess.
It was a little weak.

Never watched this before. Hmmmm, Excuse me. I'm better than any of them.I may be a minority of one on this, but I honestly think this is the weakest group of finalists in AI's 5-yr history.

My top two are Chris and Katherine.
Bottom three: hmmmm, for me: Taylor (though I am sure he won't be, I just didn't care for him tonight); Paris; and Ace. I can't bring myself to put Mandisa in the bottom, but based on tonight, I would have to be honest and say **deep breath** it is possible.
I thought Bucky's song was not bad, so I think he may safe one more week.

Guess what? I thought it was on at 8:00 Central time..and missed the whole thing...will have to go back and read the thread...dang!!!!
I am a hugh fan of Chris..and I like Taylor, please tell me they did well, please??
BTW...I read in a People Magazine the other day, that Ace said one of the "tricks" he learned to "help" him...was to put eyeliner at the corner of his eyes to make them stand out more. blech

Gherkin: "Oh okay (giggle) well it has an L in it!" Then she gave her best "Ain't I cute" look to the audience.Ugh. We have a long way to go yet, but brace yourself, Jonny. She just might survive until the finals.

The same is the case this year -- intended to showcase Carrie Jr.Brrrr
But the Gherkin has already bombed twice with Country songs. The first week of the finals--I don't remember the name of the song, but she murdered it. And the Patsy Cline song a couple weeks ago. So her Country record is 1 for 3. Not good.

Me too. They picked bad songs. At least Katherine didn't attempt Allison Kraus like the rumor said she would.
These song choices were puzzling. Next week they really need to stop getting creative with the song choices and pick crowd pleasers to win us all back over.
Taylor wasn't bad, he just wasn't as good as he could have been. He needs to step it up a notch.
