Ouch! I have gotten a death threat once. But I did not take it seriously because those who announce their threats usually dont have the strength to back it up.

One of the worst ones I've seen was the thread that actually broke the news of Peter Jennings' death. Apparently two guys were actually happy he was dead for whatever reasons. I didn't want to get involved but eventually got sucked in.
The flame war got so terrible, the two guys were zotted (they had both been FReepers for years) and the whole thread was pulled.
