Heck, when we got engaged, I didn't call them for two days.We were engaged about a month before they knew. We were waiting for them to notice the ring. ;~D

I was very good when Rosie was around to play chaperone.
Once she was out of the way, well, then, it was time to start being wild and crazy. Um, for my definition of wild and crazy which admittedly may not be everyone's.

Heh, that's great. I might have tried it if I was in the same town. Nah, my sisters are nosy, they'd have noticed.
Anyway I told them we were getting engaged before I left for that moot.

Yes, I remember you telling us about it. Soup and proposals.

I didn't think anyone was nosier than Dona... and she didn't notice. We went through Christmas like that...

Bwahahaha!
Then again, you don't have nosy little sisters who are afraid Dad's "no getting married until five years after your older sister does" rule might just stand...

Well, part of the problem was that it was mom's ring, and I often wore it, particularly at special times, as a remembrance... but I always wore it on my right hand. Even a nosey person would have to be paying close attention to notice it had switched hands.
If I'd never worn a ring before, she'd have noticed... as it was, it wasn't so obvious.

Hmmm.... I dunno, I still think "ring on ring finger of left hand" should be a giveaway.
Oh, good, it's bedtime. I'm not really tired but I'm ready for this day to be over.

Well, it seems to me that this is *it*, you know?
I mean, it was weird...because he turned it in and waited to hear back just like always and never heard back (like always) and then he gets this email from his advisor saying "You know, you need to submit your paper to the graduate college...the deadline is Friday." He got that on Monday!
So we're like "Huh...guess it's done, then!?!?"

Well, at least that hurdle has been cleared! Tell Steve we're praying for him for his defense of the thesis!

She was an interesting little character! I'm glad I got to meet her.
*Tiny* little gal...my cats are on the small side, but she must have been four pounds, tops.

Re retold fairy tales: during my recent vacation the kids* were kept entertained on the road by an audio book of
Ella Enchanted. If you saw the movie, don't let it put you off the book; if you haven't, dont :)
*And, I think, the adults.

Gooood morning! Izzit Friday yet???
How I wish. I have to sit in a meeting today and be the fly in the ointment. Totally dreading it because I hate confrontation and I have a lot of respect for the folks about to have their parade rained on. *sigh*
