Like Rush you have always been behind the feminist movement?
You have to admit though, if the real Code Pink looked like this ... Well, nevermind. The Pinkos would never look like this :)

Hippies??? That's what I'm thinking. But judging by all the activities listed in their bio, these two have far more energy than the average hippie :)

I love what you've done to the place! A fresh coat of paint and a little Spackle can work wonders :)
How ya been? I haven't talked to you in a while.

we didn't mind the kids It wasn't so much the kids that were the problem. It was that the Race conformed to them. Most of the travel didn't go outside the US, the challenges weren't very challenging, etc. It was dull.

LOL. If the real code pink looked like this they wouldn't be so hostile. :)

Weird AL Yankovichs? (sp) :0)

The one on the right is Katie Kuric.
I pray she isn't as annoying as the real one.

You've been added :)Gracias. By the way, if any unfortunate TiVo-less fan of TAR misses an episode, the most thorough and hilarious recaps are on televisionwithoutpity.com.

They do look annoying though. :( By looks I really don't see a team I'm drawn to this season. And the descriptions don't really make me feel like wow, this team will be the one.
To: So Cal Rocket
Clue #1: In TAR 7, the couple photographs had three different backgrounds... and the couples were eliminated in order of the backgrounds.
That did not hold true through the end of the race. It was true for the first 5 or so teams, but the last two backgrounds were mixed up for order of finish.

Thanks for the ping, and for putting this thread together. It's good to get some info on the teams before they get started. I'm placing my picks below.
Final Four Possible
BJ/Tyler - Well travelled, language skills, probably not as goofy as the pics, but fun loving
Lake/Michelle - Solid relationship, not too old, but mature
Joseph/Monica - There's usually at least one "younger, dating" couple that does well
Fran/Barry - Well travelled, mature, in good physical condition
Could Surprise
Eric/Jeremy - Young and male
Ray/Yolanda - Young, good physical condition
Wanda/Desiree - Fluent in Spanish (typically an advantage early)
Early Exits
Danielle/Dani - Youth and inexperience
David/Lori - Remember that couple from rural S. Dakota? Didn't think so.
John/Scott - Here's hoping they're first ;-)
Lisa/Joni - Could be a "bowling moms" reduex, but I doubt it

Great picks :)
David/Lori - Remember that couple from rural S. Dakota? Didn't think so.
LOL--they're my pick for first elimination.
John/Scott - Here's hoping they're first ;-)
I'd be happy with that too :) I haven't spotted them in the promos--could mean they lose early.

(((TAR Ping)))
Great news!
Amazing Race moving to 10 p.m. timeslot
CBS will move The Amazing Race 9 from the timeslot the show has held since its fifth season. Instead of airing on Tuesdays at 9, the show will move one hour later to 10 p.m. ET, where it will face weaker competition. There wont be any competition on FOX (since the networks programming ends at 10), whereas it would have faced House and super-sized Idol episodes at 9. And at 10, NBC airs Law & Order: SVU while ABC airs 20/20. Thus, the move could help the ratings, assuming we dont fall asleep by the time it airs.
The move wont happen immediately, though. The series returns February 28 with a two-hour episode, and the show shifts timeslots on March 7, its second week, when CBS will debut a new drama, The Unit (heh), at 9.

So maybe this can be a semi "live" thread after all :) Unless basketball interferes.
As always, if you want on or off this ping list, just let me know.
