Good morning ladies. Another beautiful day in paradise.
Mozie, I posted a "Murphy's laws of combat" quite a few years ago on FR. Odd that some that I have are not listed on the site you posted. One of my favorites is, "Tracers work both ways." And, "No battle plan survives the first engagement."
I'm sorry about Carolina kay. They had a great team this year.
Molly, I think I'm off your ping list for the daily links. Could you check it please?
Methinks I'll have another cup of java...

You OWE it to Geekdom to go see this!!! And report back to us...;^))LOL
The basement project is coming along. The lolly columns are getting framed to incorporate the 120 gallon fish tank and a counter top bar area. We think the flooring will be tiling instead of vinyl flooring because for some reason it will be 50% less.
What a difference when we have the woodstove going! The room heats up so much faster because the heat doesn't have to heat the cement blocks first. In fact, sometimes, when working in the basement, it's TOO hot. ;-)
We are thinking about putting in another floor vent to allow the heat to rise upstairs.

Snow today
What a change from the 60 degrees we had on sat.
No work till noon but I am taking the rest of the 2 1/2 hours as vacation.
The $400 I got just doesn't warrant me traveling a half hour for that.
Fehhhhhhhh
Good morning anyway.

"Final war between the Muslims and the West" Does that mean we can finally kick their collective asses off this planet?

Sometimes I wish for freezing temps so our driveway isn't filled with ruts.
I hope the mild temps and no precip..continues for your road trips.
This has been a darn good year for taking Sarah to work. Not bad at all...so far.....plastering tape over my mouth.

I drove a load of Boy Scouts from our Troop to Liberty Mountain for an evening of skiing Friday night. We all had a great time. It was Da Kid's first time on skis and he had a great time. Got his rental equipment, a one hour lesson at 7 PM and I had to pry him off of the slopes at 9:45 PM! He was going down the bunny slope without poles!
Lord, to be that young again! :-)

Mr. Chairman,
I started my part-time job with Woodcraft on Saturday. We are setting up the new store in Leesburg near the Radio Shack on East Main. It will be opening on February 4th, I believe.
Jack helped on Saturday morning and did a fine job of "driving" the pallet jack. Yesterday afternoon we went in for three hours and unpacked and set-up the plane display. I had a chance to handle all of the Lie-Nielson planes..."sigh!" There are about $7000-$10,000 of 'em there! Beautiful items.

Aaah, good. There you is. It's rainy here and that makes it feel cold. But it is already in the 60s and will prolly get into the 70s around noon. There should be slight clearing but off-and-on-again rain throughout the day.

Good on ya' at your job.
You are right about the white male discrimination. of course, we can't prove it and we're not even trying. There is more than one college out there and they don't make money by turning qualified students away. JT simply took his custom elsewhere and AU is the less because of it.
JT is, along with another young man, coordinating the activities of the Mu Kappa chapter there and the activities of the Diversity program. The last program involves reaching across cultural lines with the message of Jesus (at least that's the way I understand it). So, this is good experience for him. I don't think he'd have this opportunity at AU.
So, we could have moped and fussed or we could have seen it as God's leading JT in His path for JT. We chose the latter.
I gotta go take the youngest to school.

morning! rain here but weather is mild Molly. Mozie, I am hoping your packet gets here today so I can do something for Finest Military Monday... will possibly do the major post at the Canteen (not so problematic with more pix) and put a one pix Link at ATRW & Finest. Would that work for you?
A few hours of shovel out time here..want to catch the president on live stream at 11
HEADS UP:
The President will deliver a 'War on Terrorism' speech tomorrow at Kansas State University. The speech is scheduled for 11 AM Central/noon EDT and will be carried/streamed live by KSNT (a local TV station):
http://www.ksnt.com/
[This website is currently featuring a video short that highlights just how excited the students are that KSU is hosting the President -- although I'm sure the leftists on campus are planning some nefarious action(s) to disrupt the event (actually, it will probably be the professors!)!]

The previews on Firewall look great. I love Harrison Ford!.. going way back to Star Wars & Hans Solo!
One movie some of you might like with the light (no violence, body parts flying) fun is Last Holiday. Queen Latifah.. a little Rotten Politics implications... and much centers about the food/chef at a 4 star hotel in Czech republic. You might enjoy Johnny.
We chose it as a second choice last week when the movie we intended to see was sold out. It was really delightful.
Over weekend saw Capote also. Good job by all in cast and lost of afterthoughts. I read In Cold Blood in 70s.. powerful book & the movie is also.
