For those that may be intrested Art Bell returns to the air tonight for the first time since his wife Ramona passed away
Michio Kaku -Science Happenings- mkaku.org Host: Art Bell Art Bell will chat with theoretical physicist Michio Kaku about a variety of science-related current events
After a prednisone, she was ready to try and lie down; Art said Halleluyah, thinking she feels better. They lay down, said I love you, fell asleep.
Oh dear G-d, he awoke to find her on the couch, dead.
I can't even hardly listen. This is terrible.
Tears here. I can't, can't imagine.
One bowl of cereal and one hamburger was all he ate in a week.
I lost 15 pounds when my wife died, and stayed drunk for six months. It's a miracle I made it through.
You learn to live with it but you never really get over it.
The worst part is people trying to talk me into/hook me up with someone. Like my wife was some kinda used car or something ...
Thanks for keeping us informed on the story. God bless you Art.
It's really terrible. Brings back memories for me, too. It's always so hard. People who have been through a sudden loss want to reach out to others going through it, but it's just sad to welcome someone into such a "club."
Oh, man one of her favorite shows was Dead Like Me.
I remember suppressing rage feelings toward nice people trying to make smalltalk. Even though that makes zero sense, and I'm ordinarily a very nice person. (my dad passed suddenly)
Ramona told him you are supposed to play out the hand you are dealt. Suicide is wrong. Those words, and his 5 cats, keep him here.
I am so sorry, lainie, for whomever you lost. I am so lucky not to have lost anyone yet.
Oh my, she smoked! That could not have been good for her asthma...
It's kind of insane that he's so honest about all this :-)
Insanity is what you live with for a few weeks after. I hope he has a really good friend with him tonight. Someone that can stop him if he goes too far.
Everyone feels abandoned and lost and terribly grieved, but "time" always eases the SOME of the pain.
He'll survive. It's GOOD he's tlaking about her and bearing his soul.
She smoked!? oh my. And all the cats. I'm a little confused why so many asthma triggers.. but gosh I wouldn't dream of pushing the issue now.
I'm so sorry for your loss, djf. Anyone who stays drunk for 6 months must have been deeply in love. Don't be mad at your friends. They see how much pain you're in and feel helpless.
I am glad too. This is his life: talking in the dark into a microphone. He should feel uplifted by all of his listeners.
Ohhh I can hear him crying.
Wonder where his son is?
