As for the girls, I think the "shocker" will be Lisa. Her performance Tuesday night wasn't that great--in fact, I don't even remember it. Evening Jonny...i agree. Everyone I talked to who watches idol has to be refreshed on who Lisa is. She's the least memorable at this point.

These performances are so binary this week. Some of them were brilliant, others crap.
It's pretty clear who is a lock to advance and who should be calling a cab.

Please, please, please, let it be Paris. My sentiments exactly. She has been a TOTAL disappointment. Talented girl who, like Katharine McPhee, was way over-trained by the professional singer/voice coach adults in her life. How old is Paris? She's a kid who was trained to sing and perform like someone from her grandma's generation, if not older. It's extremely difficult to reverse such habits learned in childhood. The girl doesn't know who she is musically.
Although Katharine expresses it differently (anxiety and lack of self-confidence in her case) she has much the same problem as Paris. I can just hear her mom browbeating her into singing and performing the way mom would have done it instead of letting the kid express her own musical creativity.
