Oh my, how the mighty have fallen (if only temporarily).
Check out the bowling thread for a laugh. Maybe Michigan should think about it. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1548303/posts
oh yeah...
I just hope we get video of them using a plow to remove the dead birds that mistook the field for a pond LOL
yeah...
The Alamo Bowl generally has a decent Big Ten team and either an up and coming Big XII team or a Big XII team that is crumbling.
Last year had Ohio State v. Oklahoma State. OK State was the crumbling team.
I can't get a read on Nebraska. But if Beau Bridges (or his stunt double Bill Callahan) can get another recruiting class in, then maybe he can start to turn around Nebraska.....
And all of the pre game, halftime, and post game shows on ESPN will be about how great is USC.
Anybody else sick of the lovefest that EPSN has been having with USC?
Glad to see Rutgers get within a 100 yards of USC's offensive output in their comeback from behind victory against ASU. Gotta love those Pac 10 defenses!!!!
The best game tonight has to be the Alamo Bowl.
errr Rutgers didn't win.
And ESPN always hypes the big BCS game of the year. It's on ABC so it makes perfect sense to do so.
Yea, I know Rutgers didn't win, but no one gave them a chance to even hang with the mighty Pac 10.
ESPN can rightfully hype whatever it wants. But it has gotten beyond ridiculous with their USC lovefest. I mean they are doing USC 2005 vs. the all time great teams from Norte Dame, etc and the last time I checked, USC 2005 hasn't won the national title yet. All of their commentary from their so called experts has been not about how Texas can win, but how USC could lose. And that's what the discussion will be like when Texas wins on Jan 4.
Unitl then, Hook'em.
BTw, Mike. I'm rooting for your tOSU boys.
Who had the brilliant idea to have a bowl game in an outdoor stadium, in Idaho, in December? Wouldn't the weather be unbearable by that time of year?
honestly I didn't either.
I figured that any team that could lose to Illinois would get smashed by ASU....
LOL
well there are those that think that all the bowls should be played in cold weather....

"sick of the lovefest that EPSN has been having with USC"
Jan. 4, will feature -- for the first time ever -- two Heisman Trophy-winning teammates playing in the same game so give ESPN a break.
Speaking of lovefest, I don't want to rub it in, but today's Wall Street Journal has a front page article and picture on you guessed it: the USC Trojans.
Fight On for ol SC
Our men Fight On to victory.
Our Alma Mater dear,
looks up to you
Fight On and win
For ol SC
Fight On to victory
Fight On!
They are 13th in recruiting so far this year, even with K_State stealing our 4 star QB recruit. Nebraska is definately an up and comer, but I dont like there chances in the bowl they have lost 4 starters on defense and there offense is still very spotty.
for the first time ever -- two Heisman Trophy-winning>>>
If I am not mistaken Army had two Heisman Trophy winners on there team in the 40's. But go on have an orgasm.
