Morning Grannie,
What a pretty post.
It looks like you are putting your new 'puter through the paces.
Some of those are getting so good you might want to start keeping a portfolio.
Thanks for the Sunday Morning treat.
Morning Resty,
Is that you and who?
YEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAA!
The company is on a big cost-cutting program and they figured the easiest way to reduce costs is to get rid of all the gringos. Good luck to them I say.
No worries, the wife and I are glad to be coming home. We'll hang out in Chile until the end of March, then head home. That will get us into the start of Spring in Idaho. We're excited.
Just ordered a new Ford, F350, fire-breathing turbo diesel pickup, so it should arrive about the same time we do. A new truck is reason enough to come home.
You mean that you're coming back for good? That is wonderful news!
They're going to let the knuckleheads run the mine? Kewl! They can't even drive a pickup truck without missing the road!
Yeah. I've been sleeping really well since Wednesday.
You should hook the two of them up so that Catpuppy can teach the young man the finer points of watching beach bunnies bird watching and policing the beach. He has quality seasoning in approaching these delicate matters.
Speaking of which, I might have to move, so CP, exactly where are you and are there any yobs there?
Afraid to say I did look a little like her in my younger days and older LOL
Good morning Dogie!
That is not me it Shelley Winters who just died yesterday!
She lived in my neighborhood on W 72nd st near Centeral Park!

Thanks, Resty,
You know how it is, you conjure up an image of someone in your mind and then wonder what they really look like,
It was really just a wild guess on my part.
Shelly Winters --- 130 movies she was in.
Wow.
Yep, we're tired of the grind down here...the adventure dissapeared after about the third year, so it is time to come home. I think the average expat is down here for about 5-years.
And we're excited about it...now I'm stressing about getting my wife and doggies home safely.
This is the plan...it will be fun to watch from afar. This project is a very tough one...lots of pressure to hire nationals, but there aren't very many with mining experience...and especially ones who actually want to work. Coupled with this is the mine is very isolated and in the high altitude, the mine is having a difficult time keeping workers...we have a very high turnover rate.
There is a saying in the industry, "good mines make good miners"...well this one will spotlight all the diffiencies of these miners.
I could tell you tales of gals and Daytona and the days on the beach and the late night drives on the beach in the '57 Chevy about a half century ago ... but I'd better not.
Congratulations and welcome home.
Hoss, you could hang around until July 15th and then visit Sharky in Michigan for the start of Spring and the end of summer which happen to occur in the same week there.
