Just make my first post on DUmmies-under-rocks after lurking for several months. What can I expect now that the stick has been poked into the anthill? Hate mail? Death threats? Suspension!!!? LOL
Nothing provocative; just injected a little reason into a discussion... well, maybe it was provocative.
(1) Set up email address.
(2) Register at DU using that address.
(3) Make post at DU rational enough to generate response.
(4) DUmmies send hate-filled, threatening email.
(5) Forward email to administrator.
(6) DUmmie gets email account deleted.
That is a laugh riot!
They told me I had a room temperature I.Q. before banning me, and a few other juvenile comments.
By the way, for a bit of a revelation...read the comments on the IMDB boards about the gay cowboy movie. For one thing, they sure are angry and biased and quick to judge! They all LOVE the movie and gave it a full "10" rating even though only a couple had actually seen it. And they are certain it will change the rest of us, open our eyes to reality etc. Who here plans to see it, or even rent it later?
Kind of like herding cats.
"Are you sure your not playing both ends against the middle?"
Every single post, about gays. Whatever blows your dress up, I guess?
That's pretty much how it works. They found me over here and got my Comcast address but I didn't worry about it. I just scan everything incomming and do the same thing.
They finally gave up on me.
I'm a super stealth FReeper troll over the DUmp.
I have about 4,000 posts and I can say pretty much whatever I want without getting banned.
I can even claim responsibility for the banning of a longtime DUmmie, who still has a cult surrounding him at DU, who repeatedly and rightfully attacked me for being a "FReeper"

Duuude. That's, like, so ... Orwellian.
I joined Kos and was banned almost instantly for just asking them for facts. I was polite etc. - Oh well...
Or
Never argue with a fool, people might foret who's who!
As Nicholas Gogol wrote about 160 years ago "Ivan Ivanovich! One should have eaten a lot of beans before talking to you!", which is the only way to reason with them. Garlic also helps.
Intelligence is irrelevant.
Reason is futile.
That about sums up dealing with the DUmmieboard. There was a bit of a light appearing after the Kelo v. New London ruling however it went out quickly. Sort of "No independent thought! Get back on the plantation! You need to be re-assimilated!"
It's not "1 in 5 DUmmies are illiterate?" it's "1 in 5 DUmmies are literate."
Facts=Hate Speech to the DUmmie mind set.
Of course, when they're spewing hate and calling for the deaths of people who don't agree with them, well, that's love.
IMHO, you should update your security system to avoid VIRUS's and also maybe add a SPYWARE thingy to protect your computer.
Looks more like you ended the discussion. Killed it, dead in it's tracks.
Maybe it never did occur to them that "homophobia" might just be a made up word. Maybe by morning all the DUmmies will be rational, productive members of society, thanks to you.
LOL, I guess stranger things have happened. Maybe they all went to look up the etymology.
Help me here. . .is there more to the story here or did I miss a click?
"It's not "1 in 5 DUmmies are illiterate?" it's "1 in 5 DUmmies are literate."
Oh, that's what I thought I had read, and responded to in the first place, lol. So, to set the record straight, if only 1 in 5 DUmmies are illiterate, then that percentage would increase precipitiously, by removing the word "f*ck" from their collective vocabularies.
There, that's better. Thanks for pointing that out.
The funniest thing about DUmmieland when Kelo came out was that they could not comprehend that it was the liberal wing of the Court that gave us that decision.
They just couldn't understand it.
zone alarm works pretty good, that plus spybot and ad-aware gets quite a bit of spyware.
