We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Iraq is said to be calm during elections, at least that is what is being carried on Drudge at this hour.
Meanwhile, in neighboring Iran, pronouncements by the President of that country have stirred strongly negative reactions in Europe, and certainly in Israel--the target of the commentary about being wiped off the Earth. Germany has recalled her diplomat, while President Bush has called the Islamic republic a "real threat". The Iranian President has also stated the Holocaust is nothing but a myth, and that Israel should be moved as far away as Alaska.
The contract between the MTA and the transit workers in the New York metropolitan area expires Friday, and workers are set to go on strike. New York mayor Bloomberg says such a strike would be "devastating."
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
HEADS UP! Fox will be reporting on Britt Hume's presidential interview in the next segment.
It might just be the Bible belt, but every store I've entered, I have said "Merry Christmas" to the employees. I have not yet gotten a generic return greeting.
I wish we would just ignore their temper tantrums and go vote based on simple majorities.
In our area of the Bible Belt, we've only gotten a few generic greetings to which we immediately reply Merry Christmas which brings a knowing smile. But most folks are saying Merry Christmas, even in the stores where it's supposedly against policy.
Other key Democrats such as Sen. Patrick J. Leahy, Vermont Democrat and ranking minority member on the Senate Judiciary Committee, also have said they will support a filibuster. Four Republicans -- Sens. John E. Sununu of New Hampshire, Larry E. Craig of Idaho, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Chuck Hagel of Nebraska -- said yesterday that they will join Democrats in opposing the legislation, even helping block a final vote on its passage.
Sununu owes his job to Bush and is pulling this stunt......wow.
From a Jeff Jacoby article:
''One anecdote from Mosul," said General Peter Pace, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, at the National Defense University earlier this month. ''There was a police recruiting station. Forty young men lined up to sign up to become Iraqi policemen. A vehicle-borne IED explodes -- kills or badly injures 12 of them. The next day, the 28 remaining return to the same spot to sign up to be policemen. ''And that kind of courage," the general told his audience, ''is being shown across Iraq by literally thousands and thousands of Iraqis who want to serve their country."
I was reading that article. It is very good. I thought about linking it here, but I didn't want to step on Molly's plan. I'll link it if she doesn't.
I gasped when I read what that prison guard did to the pregnant woman.
Hi everyone...we're getting something out there. At times it sounds a little icy...as it hits an area around the where the kitchen fan is vented on the roof...
I want to go to Mall Bible study, so we'll see....
The top Israeli military man says that Saddam moved WMD to Syria 6 weeks before the war.

Yes! I think there is a thread on that posted here. It is a good story. In it she says she had to present a fair story with the other side shown. But then she realizes "the other side" is so disproportionately small it is ludicrous include it.
Scattered attacks fail to disrupt Iraq Vote Reuters
Dean still gives Dems heartburn
Journalist embedded with the 172nd Stryker Brigade "Everything I thought I knew was wrong." HoooHaaaa
Great call to Bennett from student at Arapaho H.S. in Centennial...students there are doing the purple finger thing and keeping track of the vote with the support of the principal! GREAT!
Good threads.
Dog, Molly's last link is the FR thread on Betsy's story.
45 minutes left to vote.
Thanks for the links, Molly! That Jacoby article and the embedded journalist's blog entry are "must-read" selections; thanks again!
I was just coming to post the link to that article about boot camp! Torture used to be considered something that cause body organ failure; now it's used to describe making people stand in uncomfortable positions.
