Interesting article in the Scotsman today about UK soldiers maybe, maybe not heading to Afghanistan.

This, though, was priceless:

It took months of wrangling to persuade other NATO members to agree to supply troops. But one senior officer described the efforts of coalition partners as "shambolic", accusing the Dutch government of demanding United States military protection for its troops before agreeing to send them.

I feel bad for our cousins in the UK. Socialism and multi-culturalism have turned the men into women and the country is in such bad shape they might as well be part of the European Continent.

Let me understand this. The dutch troops are so wussy that they need us to protect them? I thought that an army.... Next they'll be asking us to wipe their noses for them.

So the US military has to protect the Dutch military? And that's the only way the Dutch will agree to send any military, and this is to Afghanistan?

Sometimes I think isolationism doesn't sound so bad.
