AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1786) [Remember the Trade Center!!}
Various News Sources and FReepers | December 11, 2005 | All of Us

Posted on 12/11/2005 5:08:13 PM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good evening!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

The Republican ad on cowardice in DemoncRAT ranks is starting to strike a nerve. Sen. Inouye, Ranking Minority Member of the Senate Defense Appropriations Subocmmittee is calling on President Bush to force the GOP to pull the ad, which features a white flag swinging across the screen in front of speaking DemoncRATS. Word to the GOP--the ad is working!

Why movie critics are out of touch with what most Americans want to see--Brokeback, a movie about a gay cowboy, is the critics choice for movies this year. It also explains why Hollywild is losing money.

Israel's Prime Minister has ordered that Nation's military to be prepared for strikes on suspected nuclear enrichment facilities in Iran by the end of March.

And Iraq will close off all of its borders during its upcoming Parliamentary elections.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

I just got off the phone with Steven. He was in charge of the inspection for his unit. He got a very rare Platinum coin for outstanding work and commendations and was told it was the best base unit work they'd seen in over 2 years. And this inspector is in charge of inspecting every air force base in the world, not just the US!

Anyway, Steven has been told that his presentation will be directly to Rumsfeld and he is on strict instructions that, if it's appropriate, I want an autograph and Steve is to tell Rumsfeld that his stepmother (me) loves him (Rumsfeld). I'm not making sense, am I?

Now, to the security concerns, I understand and that made my hair stand on end until the post said there were no visible gunshot wounds. It made me wonder if a stun gun could have done this damage?

Also, as a result of all Steve's work, he is going to be trained in February in Reno to be an inspector himself.

I'm having a weird evening as I'm upset for Dolly and my husband and you, Jemian, and now happy for Steven. I think I need to go have a cup of tea or something because I'm sort of shakey.

Oh, we are proud. And I'd better go sit with my husband and share the moment with him.

I'm having conflicted feelings because of what's going on with Dolly; ping me if you hear more? Or freepmail. Hugs.

For some reason they keep on doing the same thing they do to put them in the box.

It is very easy for media people to get a distorted picture... especially those located in Washington D.C. and New York.

For the most part media types talk to themselves and Democratic politicians. We see it in the media polls. We know that the polls on Bush's approval poll 50 percent Democrats, 40 percent Republicans and 10 percent independents. Yet we know that in the real world the distribution of voters is 45 - 45 - 10. When the numbers are weighted properly Bush's approval on adults will be about 48 approve, 48 disapprove and 4 undecided. Then if we do a poll that counts and only count likely voters president Bush has 51 percent job approval 46 percent disapproval and 3 percent undecided.

Almost nothing has changed except media spin since the 2004 election.

But what we are about to see is a large improvement in what is happening in Iraq. The new Iraqi government and the new Iraqi military will both be pretty much in charge by spring.

Our first job was to build a military that could operate at company level then function at the battalion level and finally at the regiment and division levels. We could not use Saddam's army. It was loyal to Saddam. So we had to start from scratch. An army officer has to learn to be a lieutenant before he can learn to be a captain. And Captains have to learn to be Majors before they can be Colonels and Colonel have to learn to be Colonels before they can learn to be Generals.

That takes time. But we have compressed the time, and by the election next year we will have an Iraqi Government and a Military taking a huge hunk of the responsibility for Iraq's survival.

Don't look for the Iraqi army to be as PC as ours. Once they are in full control, it will not be nice to be an insurgent.

The key number released by Rummy last week was the number of reports of insurgents turned into our forces in Iraq. A year ago locals were turning in reports on insurgents at the rate of about 80 a month. Now it is running about 4000 a month and increasing. That tells us the Iraqi people see the insurgents as losing. Think of the danger.. if an Iraqi turns in insurgents and the insurgents later win, the people turning them in are toast.

But lots of Iraqis now think it is the insurgents that are toast and it is to their advantage to turn the insurgents in.

The Howard Deans have painted the Democrats into a corner. If the insurgents lose, the Democrats have destroyed their own credibility. It would be fun to hear Hillary and Bill talk about Dean, Pelosi, and Ried. They know the gamble, and hillary's behavior tells us what the Clintons think the odds are.

Today reminds me a lot of the Democratic Strategy in 1863. Every other Democratic word by 1863 called for pulling out of the Civil war. Just sue for peace and let the South stay a separate nation and all would be well was the Democratic strategy. That had some support in 1863. But by 1864 the North was winning, and the Democrats suffered a massive defeat. The Democrats only won 3 states in 1864. They went from what the media said was certain victory to certain defeat in just months.

That lead to Republican dominance of the federal goverment for years and years. It seems Democrats do not learn.. They certainly forget in time.

I am not sure even with the civil war's massive loss in human life, that giving in to the South was ever popular in the North. It was popular with some of the media.. but I am not sure it was ever popular with most of the voters.

In any event election day 1864 changed the political landscape. Those betting on Lincoln's defeat made very bad bets.

Americans do not like to lose... no matter how much the media tells us we should want to lose.

One of the problems the media has is not understanding dissatisfaction with a president in war. There are those, mostly Democrats that want to surrender. There are those who want to destroy the enemy using every weapon we have.. including nukes. Both groups are opposed to the presidents policies.

What the media and Democrats never understand is those who want the President to use every force we have are mad at the president. But given the choice of Republicans or Surrender Monkeys, the surrender monkeys always lose.

It is in many ways like 1972. Well over 50 percent did not like the way Nixon was handling Viet Nam. But when the choice was McGovern or Nixon 60 plus percent chose Nixon.

Democrats assmue those unhappy with the president agree with the Democratic position. But that is not true. A significant number of people want to go all out for immediate victory. They will never be in the Democrat camp.

For some reason that has been surprising Democrats since 1864.

I have been zapped by a stun gun, 50,000 volts, for an instant. and I would be surprised if major damage happens. It just hurt. It also neutralized the venom that I was experiencing.
