9/11 also sent a shock wave to our nation, but unfortunately, some DO seem to have forgotten. They have forgotten that the terrorists are determined to kill and destroy us. This time it is not a conventional war that we are fighting. It is a fight to destroy EVIL.
Good morning!
Brrrrrrr. My blood just can't take the temps that cold.
Good morning. Ccccold here.
That judge had best get control of his courtroom; yesterday was a disaster and can't be making the Iraqi people feeling any confidence that Saddam will be dealt with in the way they hope.
I'm taking my dad Christmas shopping today; he still can't drive since his detached retina surgery. He LOVES to shop so I'm wearing my most comfortable shoes.
I am astonished that the judge lets him get away with that. I expected to see Hussein carried into the court and made to sit there in manacles and gag.
WOW! Now THAT is cold. It is around 40 here and the weather man said it is a 'wet' cold. whatever that is.
My neighbor, Will Lehner, was aboard the USS Ward on that Sunday morning, patrolling the outer edges of Pearl Harbor.
They sunk one of the Japanese midget submarines trying to sneak into the harbor.
He saw a salvo hit the conning tower.
A few years ago he was invited by Bob Ballard (Titanic fame)to try and find the sub. He tried to tell Ballard where it was, using a mini sub but Ballard wouldn't listen.
A few months later some Japanese students, doing their own research, found the submarine right where Will had said it would be.
Am going to the Green Bay game this weekend.
I understand HGTV will be showing the White House Christmas decorations tonight.
Yes, the showing will be at 8pm EST.
It just rankles me to know end to see Ramsey Clark over there.
The strange thing is Saddam wouldn't think twice about putting him through a shredder. (Course... come to think of it neither would I... ; ) )
How is he going to meet his ole buddy 'down there', head chopped of? hanging? shot? or, old age in prison.
At least something worthwhile will be on television tonight.
Excellent posts about the media and the war, Carolina and Toby.
And Ramsey Clark -- it's just too early in the morning to even THINK about that traitor.
Awwww, have a good day.
FNC: Trial to resume without Saddam! Excellent news.
Welcome home Utah Girl...that was a long cruise. Glad you enjoyed it so much!
Raven, thanks for the news compilation...
MozartLover, we were part of a program last night which also included a flute choir from the University...12-15 flutes, including a piccolo, an alto and bass flute or tenor flute...I forget which.... Apparently there is more and more music being written especially for such ensembles...We sang very well, thank goodness!
Now to concentrate on Messiah....performance Friday night...
Thanks for the info. We'll enjoy that.
Ramsey Clark has been a traitor for a long time. He said a few years ago that we were wrong to be in Viet Name and he knew it at the time. I thought he should be punished when he revealed that little tidbit. Does he have no conscience?
You have a RELAXING day too, kassie. After what you've been dealing with, I imagine it's quite well needed and deserved.
bbl - bundled up to go for a walk.
ALRIGHT! My highlighted 'you got mail', etc. came back. Must have hit something on the keyboard I shouldn't have.
Sounds like Bennett is absent...who's the sub??
