Oh ick. Car sick, huh? Does anything help?
To: Monkey Face
Getting something to eat, but one can't do that if
one doesn't have the money. Other than that, nope.
Wait, sitting in front helps... but the car will be full
& mom will be sitting in front. We're taking one
car to save people money & make sure we all get
there & back. It is a long ride either direction.
We usually end up getting home after midnight.

You could ride on the roof! Think of all the fresh air...

Yah. That's about as far as it is from here to my brother's place outside of Phoenix. I hate the drive, unless I'm the one that's driving...
I sure don't like it any other way...
To: Irish_Thatcherite
We have to drive through rather mountainous
areas, imagine the frostbite. I'd need someone
to warm me up after the ride... the two hour ride.

Isn't it awful? You can't help but nearly fall asleep.
It feels like it takes forever & it's so boring.

Humph. He's being sent to sit every half hour or so. We hope, of course, that he'll begin to tell us when he has to go.

Freezing solid on the rooftop of a car doesn't sound very
appealing to me... especially since my dad will be driving.

Not really. every time we visit them, I get
sick... there isn't much I can do about it. I've
been hoping to move closer, hasn't happened yet.

Eventually, he'll be productive. That we know!
But just for now, the whole house gets to watch the show,
As Patrick plods to potty for the Nth time in a row,
With muttered imprecations you don't want to know!
We tried to reason with the boy, both to and fro,
We can't deal with all the diapers, lad. You've got to go!

We don't really get to see them, so much as drive through
them. The roads have gentle slopes, so you don't really
notice you're driving around the mountains. There are also
a lot of trees, which block any nice views you could have.

Yeah, when they're right outside the window
& there's just trees all down the road, the only
thing to look at... it becomes less beautiful to
see. Not to mention they hide deer very well.
