Remember we can't use any weapon that uses projectiles unless we are on the hunting preserve. We must remember the integrity of the skin of the craft, and make an effort to maintain it. Otherewise...well...I'm not sure I want to see what would happen.

Of course, Darks and DC no doubt have WMD to use against foes, but they are to be used outside the castle/craft confines.

The alloy we used has a significant fraction of gold and titanium in it. While you can seperate the halves by unthreading them from each other, you could otherwise use them as cannon shot or back over them with a Mac truck without deforming the sphere in any significant way.

There is also a light 7-atom coating of carbon crystal protecting the surface finish.

We are going to be travelling around 50-60 MILLION miles together. Starting things out with a shotgun in some poor Yeti's face could be the wrong way to get started.

Small arms are ok. Just be sure to use the powdered bi-metal rounds stored in the armory. They'll do a number on soft-skinned game, but don't have enough integrity to penetrate aircraft aluminum much less the stuff we are using for the canopies and the skin on this thing.

The armory can make pretty much any size round a person could conceivably need. However, hunting with Howitzers would waste a lot of meat so please restrict your predation choice to common hunting calibers. We do have a more or less "full" library of genetic stock on hand and in storage, but we should keep in mind a certain amount of conservation.

Save the big stuff for targeting asteroids or for when we are on Mars.

Hehhhe... Normally the thread is cruising along at a good clip at that time of evening. I know this as it annoys the heck out of me that I need to leave just as things are picking up.

I usually leave just before things start to get lively. I've stayed and played two night in the last week, and I'm paying for it now. Eleven hours of sleep and I'm still dragging. Remind me not to have so much fun, OK? Or tell me to at least have fun in the daylight...;o]

I remember about the skin of the craft and the skin of the game, but I'm not as "up" on armaments as I should be, so I have to defer to your greater expertise and knowledge in that area.
