Yeah, it was kinda fun.
The fog gave way to full out freezing rain.
Had to turn around and head home.

Probably, you've got the mountains at your back, and they force the clouds to do funky stuff before passing over.
Sounds like a cool place, just as long as the car heater works.

The hubby has kicked (figuratively speaking) the recovering Primus from our bed.

Time to put Alice to bed. She has turned into a shriveled pumpkin.

On the morrow, my dear FRiends!

Bring what you need to dress comfortably, and for the comfort of others.

Bring specialty equipment and tools for your vocations, avocations, and specialties.

Bring entertainment materials, such as music equipment.

Keep in mind, as a colony, we will need to replenish things that get broken, forgotten, or left behind through mishap. To that end, we will have dedicated craftsmen manufacturing replacements for such necessities as tennis balls, footballs, basketballs, and of course, ben wa balls.

Only in the drinks.

Thanks for reminding me. Laundry detail had me distracted.

BTW, if Star is going to flame us, may I put in a request for the whisky distillery? We're running a wee bit short on peat, but if we reserve that for flavor and enhance the heat we may get by.

After all it would not do to shut down production of "Poblachd Saorsa," (in English, "Free Republic") the best whisky straight from The Official Distillery of the Undead ThreadTM!

Weblog Awards Update:

Well we were 100 points up earlier this morning, but with the Iraqi vote, our friends at Iraq the Model have gotten quite a boost in their votes. They are now 200 votes in the lead. But we can catch them.

Please vote now and once every 24 hours through December 15th.

http://weblogawards.org/2005/12/best_middle_east_or_africa_blo.php

I want to thank all my friends at FR for your awesome support.

It means a lot to me but more importantly winning this award will expose the need for regime change in Iran to a much larger audience.

No ice? No ice cream?

What kind of barbarians do you think we are?

I assure you, we are high-class barbarians. Ice is astonishingly easy to make in outer space. Any unheated corridor exposed to shadow will suffice.

But we are more civilized than that. If you are residing in the castle, (and YOU are), ice can be delivered to your room from the kitchen.

Check out our method of making instant ice cream from liquid nitrogen. It's the best!

Looks good, but how do I set the microwave to warm it through to where it doesn't break spoons in the effort?

You must have used too little cream for the amount of liquid nitrogen. Don't forget to try it with minced fresh fruit!

Just set the microwave on defrost for 45 seconds. Any longer and you'll have a milkshake.

Can you imagine a bustling street scene in one of the habitats, where vendors have opened shops with all kinds of trinkets, food specialties, and decorative items?

It would be like an extended holiday, and that's the way I'm treating it.
