That's only because they've gotten their asses kicked in European elections until relatively recently.
I'm still amazed that they've managed to become the second largest party in Northern Ireland.
Perhaps if they bludgeon enough constituents to death next time they can finally snag Mr. Hume's old seat.

Sweet dreams.

Indeed, and perhaps Europe wants them in power in Ireland - so that they can be finally rid of that messy ol' Irish constitution.

What if she's in the circus?

Wellden...she still can't have too many talents...I mean, a lady has to do what she can to make things work, right? And if it means she has to get on her knees once in a while, or bend over backwards, then...well...it's what she has to do. Of course.

A lady can't have too many talents, you know. And a man should never be miserly in his appreciation of them.
Goodnight, m'lady, and thank you and Alice for an enjoyable evening.
G'nite all!

"What makes it so? Is it one's ability to retrieve from one's memory banks, ready-made phrases, fancy and flowery words, lifeless words, sentences w/o meaning, decorative adjectives and humbug generally?" No. But it helps.
You're welcome to ride along with us to Mars, and to romp and tromp through the castle. There's lots to see and do, weapons to manufacture and test, planets to observe with an eye to conquest, even saucy wenches to ogle cautiously.
But just be patient, Lad. That clock ticks louder, and runs faster, with every microsecond that passes.

You had me at "weapons to manufacture."
Actually, you had me at mission to Mars--months ago: the weapons manufacturing only sweetens the deal.
To: Das Outsider
Gee. Did I see a movie with a line sorta like that? "You had me at 'Hello'?"
It's good to know that you haven't lost your enthusiasm and passion for "sweet" things...;o]

Mars would make a great test site for nukes!!
But it would be bad for intergalactic commerce.

But it would be bad for intergalactic commerce. But good for intergalactic diplomacy - think about it.

While you may have a point in that the Neptunians have been building an arsenal for the last 436 years--and they need to be stopped, our exploits on Mars could serve as another "blooming in the desert."
Think of it: Wal-Mars.
