Today is going well.

The hubby left early to get to work before the lunatics hit the roads. Turns out that he was not entirely successful. The lunatics had planned ahead, too! Who'd've thunk it?

The kids and I shoveled the driveway clear and now the sun is baking it ( I hope. It's still below freezing here.) dry.

I've caught up on all of the posts from last night and, well, here I am!

At work today, and surprisingly still busy..we usually slow down this close to Christmas.

I haven't started Christmas shopping yet.

I've not really started shopping. Once the tree is decorated and Primus has his surgery, I'll move on to shopping.

I have to get the kids' wishlists prepped and emailed to interested parties tonight, though. *sigh*

And, I've just been informed that the entirety of my in-laws have decided to hold our annual Christmas get together in my house. I just love being consulted. *sarcasm dripping from fangs*

Anyway, I haven't really started, although I have mentally planned it all out.

What is it that you do that usually slows down close to Christmas, if you don't mind me asking?

Snow, eh? It's just about all gone here. But we're sitting in what's pretty close to the preface to our snowfall pattern; temperatures around freezing, dipping down at least overnight.

That's one nice thing about having a completely dysfunctional family...we never get together. LOL.

We were told to expect 4 - 7 inches. Looks like we got about 5. Naturally, all of the schools closed around here, wusses that they are. This means the children are outdoors playing with their little friends instead of doing lessons. Otoh, it also means no ballet or swimming tonight.....That means a proper, sit-down, family meal tonight.

I don't mind most of them. And I can tolerate all of them, en masse, for limited amounts of time. Vounteering my house, without consulting me, was a serious mistake on their part.

Otoh, my hubby loves his family (he can't help himself) so I'll restrain my vindictive urges for his sake.....I can afford to wait.....*evil gleam*
