I do well on exams that I can study for. Like the Bar exam, CPA exam, etc. But something like an IQ test where I have to be "logical" doesn't come easily for me. Like those flattened boxes with the patterns. After staring for them for 10 minutes, I gave up and clicked on a box to go on to the next question.

I tried a couple of the tests today, but I was too distracted with work to really "get into" them enough to do well. Maybe I'll try again, when I'm not harried with so much to do.

"Aw, I want to know your IQ!! " Look at it this way. If I don't take any tests, then I can honestly say that it cannot be measured.
That sounds impressive.

There probably is an active Anti-Mensa reverse snobbery extant here, and I am probably afflicted with it. I really should be more sensitive.
It's funny that you say that: there is a segment of American Mensa that regularly subjects itself to self deprecation and the like. Many good jokes have come out of it--and some of those are published in the Bulletin.
Ok...Now it's pretty obvious that I'm a Mensan. Guilty as charged.

Someone said, "Man is not a rational animal. Man is a rationalizing animal."
Probably Freud.

I'm mulling over another design with three balls on a strand. The balls on each end contain electromagnets that alternate on/off, while the ball in the middle can slide along the short strand between them. The electromagnet at one end will always be on when the other is off, causing the sliding ball to oscillate between the two ends. Again, the "frequency" is user-adjustable.

Probably Freud.
No. Freud was, "Every man has a mother, and I would like to see her."

Your a Mensan?
Yes. I've got the little card and knowledge of Esperanto to prove it.
