I have Hobbes, (female) who is a blue-point Siamese, and just got Calvin, (male) who is a long-hair, brown tabby with white chest and boots.
It has taken Hobbes a week to adjust to him. She has been so anti-social... she was even hissing and spitting at ME!!
LOL!

I was surprised today that the History Channel had a two-hour special on the birth of Jesus. Of course, they had to have the scientific explanation, but in the end, the Miraculous Event won.
It was good.

Have I inadvertently stumbled upon the Food Network site? You don't look like Giadia.

My pies are *always* good.
I did use a canned filling this time. But I always make my own crust.

She's always bringing food...and drinks.
And somehow, it always looks tastier than what's in my pantry...

Mmmmm!
Nothing wrong with canned filling...it's a lot easier, and often better. The only exception to that is Dutch apple deep dish pie...with ice cream...
Of course, tomorrow, I'm making my own pumpkin filling (with a little help from Libby's) and using Pillsbury roll-out pie crust...and Reddi Whip. I cheat.

I've probably seen the special. It sounds better than some of the Easter bits that they trot out, and far better than Peter Jennings's attempt to do an "historical Jesus" show.
The funny thing about virgin birth is that science has moved closer and closer to actually performing it; which means that God would only have to be a bit more intelligent and/or resourceful than us--like in initiating the act inside time from outside of time. Small potatoes.

I always make my own pumpkin pie filling. Also, I don't care for the canned blueberry filling. I have had some good apple and cherry filling though.

This I believe was fairly recent. Edward Herrman narrated it, and he is showing his age. I haven't seen him on camera since he did the Dodge commercials...I think it was Dodge...anyway, he was looking a lot older. Not necessarily "fat" but heavier.
Like I said: it was good.

This is Giada. If you are a man and look like her, my condolences. If you are a woman and look like her, you're wasting your time in the world of print.
So...Pie, huh?
