When I first moved away - I used to schlep home for the holidays. I would fly home, rent a car, stay at a hotel, and run around to see the family.

I quit. Now, if you want to see me - I'll be sitting on a beach somewhere or by a pool.

In fact, I used to go to a wonderful spa for years - we'd eat healthy and get some sun - a few massages and a facial and show up back to work feeling mighty fine. Less money than going home - and I'm better off for it.

"YOU CAN PICK YOUR FRIENDS, BUT YOU CAN'T PICK YOUR FAMILY"!
