Based on their comments of this morning, I would have to give Jesse Jackson the nod, by the slimmest of margins, over Schumer in the contempt sweepstakes.
But speaking of Alito being a "states rights man" and Rosa Parks being the victim of states rights, Jackson virtually outfitted Alito in a sheet and stuck a bullwhip in one hand and a cattle prod in the other.
"Precisely. Absolutely disgraceful, worthy of the worst grave-robbers."
Speaking of grave robbers, I hear Alito is going to dig up Rosa Parks so he can have sex with the corpse! How insensitive.
Normally my reaction would be, "Good, the Dems are once again overplaying their hand, the public won't buy it."
But then I read threads here where several Freeper idiots rush to piss all over Rosa Parks, doing their best to help some of the media/Dem myths about conservatives to linger.
I hope this turns into another Wellstone moment for the dems and ends up blowing up in their faces.
But, but...
I thought it was the Democratic party who were against civil rights and for Jim Crow
Could history be wrong!!
I hope JJ sticks a cattle prod and bullwhip in my hands, he better run quick.
Shows how weak the DNC really is.
Chuck has shown great concern for G.W.B. he stated that by listening to the "far right" his Presidency will be destroyed. LOL
Notice conservatives critique qualifications while Democrats roll out race baiting.
I only read the first word of the headline (Schumer) before realizing this was a dumb*ss quote from a dumb*ss socialist, and I stopped reading. But I'm sure it was an interesting read.
All kidding aside, I can almost imagine the Dems trying to organize an anti-Alito rally in the Rotunda surrounding Rosa Parks' bier.
And why not a TV commercial along the lines of the one the NAACP ran accusing W of murdering the man who was dragged behind the car "all over again"?
Something like:
"Don't let the Republicans send Rosa Parks to the back of the bus again. Call your senator and tell him to oppose the radical extremist Alito."
Schumer is a shameless, despicable demagogue, just like Jackson.
The GOP/conservative movement should consider what seems to me to be an obvious rejoinder to these demonizations of 'states rights.' Inherent in these malicious bromides is the assertion that people today, in this time and place, are just waiting to oppress minorities. Inherent is the charge that w/o the restraining hand of our judge-kings, that the people of the South would be forming lynch-mobs, or at the very least forcing blacks back to the back of the bus. Inherent is the slanderous charge that the people are just waiting to put women back in the kitchen, and to bash homosexuals, and to oppress all non-whites, and to impose a theocracy, and so on and so on.
Surely I'm not the only one to notice these obvious and insulting inferences, which logically flow from the statements of Schumer, et al.
Let's be fair to Chucky. If you were as far Left as Chucky or the rest of the 'Rats, Olympia Snowe would be "Right" and everyone beyond that would be "Far Right".
Don't blame you. It was ;-)
Rosa Parks put Roe v. Wade into place?
We can only hope States Rights will be restored but I will not hold my breath.
The talking points memo went out to the Dean wing of the party. Let them carry on!
Schumer is a shameless, despicable demagogue, just like Jackson.
They'll get theirs.
For Pete's sake. More hysterical nonsense from the Left.
Oh No...it looks the the democrats are planning a Wellstone funeral for Rosa Parks!
