Still a lot of game to go, but, that was huge. I wrote the Eagles off, I hope they pull this one out.

You're right - this is going to be a long 2 minutes for us over here. I've been pretty impressed the Philly D has been able to shut down LT :). I'm rooting against myself today in the fantasy leagues.

Of the three, Browns beat Lions. Before the season I thought Detroit was finally going to put together a team able to make the playoffs in a weak division. Since then, sayonara Detroit, 4- 12 will not win that division.

I'm sorry, would you please repeat that?

Chargers gave that game away - penalties in the first half, turnovers in the second.

If I owned the Saints, Haslett and the defensive coordinator would be marched to the 50 yard line of the Superdome and shot for incompetence. Those two clowns threw away a game that was won in the first quarter. I can understand bad luck, with the hurricanes and all that, but there is NO excusing the total collapse today.

The Bengals needed this one to prove their ready to take on the big boys. They're not there yet.

Stillahs sure didn't look like the big boys in the first quarter. Feh!

But they adjusted and they came around.

I was getting a little tired hearing about Cincy considering their weak schedule thus far. The only good teams they've played are PIT and JAX and they're 0-2 against them.

Pats are idle today, right?

What do you think of Bruschi's return? I don't have his information, but I'm worried about him. I can't help but wonder if it isn't a horrible risk considering what a huge career he could have in broadcasting.

I have huge respect for the guy, btw. I wish he was a Steeler.

He's been to several doctors who've all told him the same thing - playing football will not increase his risk for another stroke. His stroke wasn't caused by playing football to begin with and the problem that did cause it has been fixed. I have to believe that if he and his wife believed there was any chance his playing football again might be an uneccesary riske he wouldn't be doing it.

Well, that's GREAT!

He has HOF potential and I look forward to seeing him play (and as an important aside, I pray the doctors are right).

The guy's name is pronounced "Brewski!" What's not to like?

He's hard not to like. He was a great college player but he didn't go high in the draft because the NFL scouts thought he was too small. They didn't measure his heart.
