I'm not excusing them.....and I know there are some that are more like dems........but for the most part it seems like they simply can't handle the constant negative drumbeats of the MSM. This is a difficult war.....the war for America, and we shoudn't be so quick to defect from those who support us, even though imperfectly.

This was what happened when Perot ran for office and the defection caused 8 horrid years of Demo control. Nothing I see in the R control can even come close to that horror. If wejust complain and defect, surely we will get Hillary with a Demo congress, the horror of that can't be imagine. We do better to correct them when necessary....I called a bunch of Senators, and I have confidence that enough of us did for them to know they made a huge mistake. They heard.

I am not saying that we shouldn't criticize, nor that I am not angry with some of the things Pubbies have done, but surely if we desert them, we will lose not just the battle , but this very real war.

Excuse me, but it was the base who helped get conservatives/ Republicans as the majority in the House, Senate, and White House.....during the past two major elections. It was the base who has been pushing, hard, to win these votes. What has happened as a result of Republicans having the majority? To what effect has this "win" for the "R"s brought?

Who deserted whom first?

There are things to get angry about, and lots of things to be happy about that have been passed. Lots of things have happened that wouldn't have had these people not been in office. Whosesale desertion is not helpful, nor right. But it will make sure that we are 100% marginalized and that the traitors will win.

no one is 100% but Borders, Judges and Abusive Taxing must be their piority!

We have to weed out phony diversity!

Of course there are some things to be happy about, as there should be.

Having said that, those "some things" don't excuse or make null the other concerns/polices about which conservatives are extremely unhappy...and, just to be clear, I'm not talking about noses getting bent out of shape because a 'pet' project didn't get pushed through, or $200.00 more (or less) wasn't spent on another. The issues are real and are several, long-known, well-established legitimate conservative concerns that have either been completely ignored or not adequately or appropriately addressed (and again, it is not a disagreement over whether an "i" was dotted or a "t" was properly crossed).

resty, those are part of the legitimate complaints many, many conservatives have against the "Republican" "controlled" house, senate, and White House.

I understand. I am upset about:
1. Immigration
2. The education and drug bills.
3. "the neew tone"
4. overspending

I am happy for the following:
1. Justice Roberts, Justice Alito
2. The war against Islamofascists. We are winning because of the R's.
3. Tax cuts that are keeping the economy strong
4. Tort reform, plus the attempt at SS and entitlement reform

There are a lot more, but these are the main ones. The positives are so much more important than the negatives, plus I believe pressure has come to bear on immigration big time and that is beginning to and will be addressed more fully, the new tone seems to have been blasted to H*ll this past week, and the pubbies are beginning to reign in the drunken sailor spending.

It's the base that has preserved the postives, and the base that is pressuring against the negatives. This is not an easy war for the soul of America (and that's what it is), do not lose hope, do not give up.

plus the attempt at SS reform

Excuse me SS was forced taxzation which in my younger days I could have invested in a retirement plan instead of what is left over from the ponzi scheme!

in the 60's-80's progressive tax ran rapid until Reagan was elected and than we got NWO Bush & Clinton they need to raise money

It's the base that has preserved the postives, and the base that is pressuring against the negatives.

That is true.

the new tone seems to have been blasted to H*ll this past week,

One week out of the past 5 years....can we yet say "finally" they can "see"? Or will it go back to what it's been like for five years' duration? I'm crossing my fingers and hope that the "blind men picked up the hammers and saw."

the pubbies are beginning to reign in the drunken sailor spending.

Long overdue, but, hey, it's a good sign.

The positives are so much more important than the negatives, plus I believe pressure has come to bear on immigration big time and that is beginning to and will be addressed more fully

Security of our country has been given lip-service, as far as I'm concerned, as long as the borders are kept wide open. Along with the security aspect, millions of low-income, poor, invading our country has brought a massive negative impact in our communities and economy....we see crime of all sorts: rapes, gangs, murders, drugs, and tax evasion....that includes the illegal's employers, who pay them under the table. Though illegals, and their employers do not pay withholding taxes, Americans pay for illegal room and board at jails, medical care at hospitals and education, higher education benefits (which my own children are refused...though, AFTER taxes, I probably take home as much money as many illegals send to their families in Mexico). And our government wants to incorporate Mexicans into the "American" Social Security system.

U.S. Social Security For Mexicans?
January 15, 2003

....The deputy White House press secretary has just confirmed that the Social Security Administration has begun discussions with Mexico about an agreement to allow Mexicans to receive U.S. Social Security benefits. One plan is to allow Mexicans, who were not employed in the U.S. long enough to collect U.S. Social Security benefits, to count the time they worked in Mexico as part of the mandatory 10 years or 40 quarters.

Totalization With Mexico Could "Total" Social Security

...the State Department and the Social Security Administration having now signed onto the idea of Totalization with Mexico, it has become an issue that could devastate the American Social Security system, and therefore, an issue which needs to be brought to the attention of EVERY AMERICAN! As I view it, this literally has the potential to bankrupt our retirement system.

Should the President sign this treaty, it would instantly make millions of Mexicans, both legal AND ILLEGAL, eligible for S.S. benefits. Naturally, this comes at a time when the President (of whom, in most matters, I am a strong supporter) is going around the country trying to convince Americans that the Social Security system is in crisis…and with that, I agree!

The Social Security Administration would have us believe that illegal workers would not qualify under a Totalization Agreement with Mexico. However, according to azcentral.com, an Inspector General's report says that the SSA "doesn't consider the work-authorization status of the individual when they earned the wages. It only considers whether the individual can prove he or she paid Federal Insurance Contribution Act (FICA) taxes as part of this work." And, even IF the claim that Illegal workers were not eligible were true, the writing on the wall is that a general amnesty is on the horizon, which would immediately make ALL illegals (and their dependants) eligible...

Though, I agree, the pressure must be kept on Congress, the Senate, and the President, I fear they will continue to act contrary to our wishes or for what's in the best interest of America/Americans.

What I find absurd is that conservatives are finding it necessary to apply pressure to Republicans in areas about which Republicans shouldn't even need to be pressured.

I got a nasty phone call from a client today. Apparently an email I sent to a couple of the attorneys involved in one of my cases, as a courtesy update since they are in Little Rock, was given to the client, stuff that was not intended for distribution and that contained a confidentiality disclaimer. I foolishly assumed that a professional would have sense enough to know that it was not meant for the client. Very unprofessional in my opinion. Now I have to decide how to handle it.

Based on my experience with the courtroom clowns in juvenile court in Little Rock, probably the former.

The AAL is the attorney for the children in a case.

"If the majority of R's were more like Zell Miller than what they've become, there'd be less traitors to America and to conservatism."

Heck, if the majority of D's were like Zell Miller, I'd probably become one at this point.

terrific!!

We ALWAYS look at every piece of paper in our files before I make any copies to give to our client, upon their request for an entire copy of their files. (For instance, they're not allowed to have a copy of the pre-sentencing report...don't ask me why, since about themselves, but they can't have a copy.)
