It was in the heart of where I was working during that time I was home because waiting for a new scanning software...which even delayed it more becasue it was a long time before you could return to that area...
That day I was home about a mile a way and remember listening WABC radio in bed and heard the news turn on the TV the rest is history...
I did go out that day....I remember it was so bright and sunny as I stood on my corner of W.73rd and Broadway and no one seem to know what took place unless they heard the news!

The original picture was very sharp & clear and now it is blurry they are unfriendly not to let one post that visual treasure!

I will get you a pic of that building, La Terazza.
It was dismantled in La Coruña in 1920 and brought to Sada. I don´t know why, but it was ideal as a dance hall in those days and Chinese themes seemed to be popular at that time.
There are a number of old houses around these parts with a Chinese motif on their roofs and gables.
