A pyrotechnic stunt gone wrong apparently injured Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee on Wednesday night during the band's concert at the Casper Events Center in Casper, Wyoming.
"The lights went out and Roman candles went off," and someone cursed, said Del Kinswoman, who attended the concert with her husband, Eddie, an advertising photographer for the Casper Star-Tribune.
They said Lee was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Lee had been hoisted on a wire and was swinging back and forth between several drum sets perched several feet above the stage when the fireworks went off, said Tom Morton, a Star-Tribune reporter who was at the concert.
Singer Vince Neil told the audience they couldn't perform an encore because Lee was injured and needed medical attention, Morton said.
Wyoming Medical Center has not commented on Lee's injuries.
Motley Crue was scheduled to perform in Bismarck, N.D. on Friday and in Sioux Falls, S.D. on Saturday.
Kind of. Is that the movie with guys pretending to be rock stars?
Not funny. I didn't really see funny in it. Gay.
But just for argument's sake MG, what would YOU say if I said Barry Manilow was my veeery favorite? ;-)
"Does Barry Manilow know you raid his wardrobe?
P.S. -- How 'bout them Packers? :-D
Don't get wise on me my friend! I bleed Green and Gold and I'm not a happy gal this season!
A Breakfast Club fan??
Spinal Tap is a parody of the rock & roll lifestyle, and the sharpest one ever made. In fact, on a scale of 1 - 10, I'd give it an 11 ;)
It's a movie for you old farts!
/duck and hide
Of course. I've seen it so many times I know every line.
That was the whole idea. The movie was poking fun - a parody - at all the ridiculous, big-haired, burned out, mega-distorted 80s heavy metal bands you like....lol.
