4 degrees makes our 11 overnight seem warm by comparison!! We didn't get much ice and the roads/ground is too warm for it to hang around long. So, other than the extreme cold, we did pretty good.
2" of ice on the water trough this morning, but a couple of buckets of hot water and a shovel fixed that. The sun is out nice and bright so things will melt away fast even though we aren't supposed to get above 32 today.
Bad thing is the wind which is supposed to be 15-20 out of the NW. Only 7 MPH right now so it wasn't too bad feeding this morning. This afternoon will be raw though with that wind.
