Marino was overrated. He would complete tons of passes, but it never seemed to have much of a practical effect on the team's success. I think he stunted the running game,

What running game? The Dolphins never had a decent runner in all the years Marino played.

Marino is the classic example that a QB can't run the whole team. He could throw, and his receivers could catch, but other than that, the Dolphins had nothing.

And yet, Marino still made the hall of fame.

Marino had the quickest release of any QB I've ever seen.

Marino would be my pick as the #1 quarterback of all time. Anyone who thinks championships are an accurate indicator of a QBs talent and value to his team should consider this: John Elway won two Super Bowls with the Broncos long after he had passed his prime -- and at a time when his contribution to the Denver team were secondary at best.
