Just watched Shepard Smith having and absolute tantrum on Fox News The O'Reilly Factor, complaining that reliefe did not come to the specific spot he was standing.
Petulant, Arogent, Demanding, and bitter. He's totally lost it.
What a whiner.
I haven't seen anyone patting themselves on the back. They're all working hard trying to do the best they can in an overwhelming situation.
Sorry FRiend. The days for walking are past, NO ONE is allowed to leave unless authorized. Read that as you get to the overpass, or maybe the Superdoom, and than you wait.
Well that got to me... the face of that baby and that mom. I am sick about it.
Shep has on-air Stockholm syndrome..
B/c people need HELP DESPERATELY!
Shep has been there for 5 DAYS he has NOT SEEN THE RED CROSS!!!
[Not shouting at you. I am just as upset as they are.]
Amen to your #35!
Shep's doing a great job out there. It's obvious he cares a great deal.
A lesson is being learned the hard way.
Relying on accurate info from your local and state gubamints while the networks are showing reasons to be concerned for lack of direction or consistency from same said govt agencies can lead to dire consequences.
New Orleans is the exception, not the norm, as natural disasters go, imo.
I wish all the media there well, but let them also remember the magnitude of what hit this area and how so many were and are trapped in a punchbowl, mostly of their own making.
Yes, there are some that would have had difficulty getting out regardless but the numbers in need are much larger than anyone could have reasonably expected and delays in calling for mandatoiry evacuation only axacerbated the problems now at hand.
I won't play the blame game, at this point, there's plenty to go around.
Actually Shep alerted a policeman the other night to a woman with a 5 day old infant that was feverish, and they got her out of there.
He isn't in the convention center. He is on an overpass he DROVE to in a Media sattelite truck. Can't you get it? If they had started walking 3 days ago on Shep's first visit they would be at food and shelter by now.
FOX NEWS has gone from something that had some value to a bunch of boys peeking though the wall to the girls locker room and then doing their best to get you to take a peek too.
Tonight, at best, they are all acting like some crack heads that have had too many hits at the pipe.....
I believe he was angry because there were elderly and children that needed to be evacuated and instead the mayor let the last bus leave with some tourists and elites who were staying in a hotel. There conditions were not as bad as what these were suffering and yet the MAYOR let others out before those who have been needing help most. If I were to see the devastation around me day by day and know that it is due to incompetence I would have a temper tantrum as well.
You're still listening to the media coverage? I gave up yesterday, since everyone CNN and Fox interviews says the same five sentences. I'll donate to the American Red Cross and turn the media off. That's just me.
Of course... that's why we all do what we can; but it doesn't help to carp about Bush and everyone else.

A Reporter Who Needs to Get on the Bus and get back on his meds. Even the baby isn't this upset.
Shep is very hammy.
Gibson should be added to that list.:)
Six days is a long time to wait for a bus. Where are they coming from? Anchorage?
