Mike Myers asked people to donate...then Kanye West went on a tirade about Iraq, Mike Myers said something else, and then Kanye says "GEORGE BUSH DOESN'T CARE ABOUT BLACK PEOPLE!"

Seriously, I think a lot of people within this thread are commenting on the disaster response to New Orleans, haphazardly not even realizing that Bush's response was swift in the case of Ivan (guess it helps having your brother as governor of the state).

You're "seriously" stupid if you believe that.

However, it's OK for a city, primarily inhabited by poor blacks to sleep in feces, urine, mud, and filth for four days without so much as a minimal federal response with basic food and water.

Actually, I know West personally. He grew up in a middle class neighborhood which had exposure to the rich to the west and the poor to the east. Kayne grew up in an enviroment that afforded him access and knowledge to the middle class, poor, and rich.

Ya, and I'm just after seeing this Kayne West on Channel 4 News - Mike Myers was clearly embarrassed by his statement!

No need for any of the media to bash Bush here, he in characteristic fashion said his government's response 'was unacceptable' - you think Bertie Ahern would be so forthright?!?!

And also, Bush addressed the American people via interview - and the interviewer had to bring up Iraq (something about redirecting resources from Iraq, or some B/S like that).
