some rapper punk or whoever was just on trying to get people to donate money to the red cross. He was on with Mike Myers (Wayne's World). Mike Myers asked people to donate...then Kanye West went on a tirade about Iraq, Mike Myers said something else, and then Kanye says "GEORGE BUSH DOESN'T CARE ABOUT BLACK PEOPLE!"
WHAT A FREAKING OUTRAGE!!!!!!!!!
When some idiot shoots his mouth off about GW Bush not caring about Black people he ought to know the facts. For the last fifty years or so, Blacks have given their undying support to the Democrat Party. Last Sunday poor Black folk that politically supported both the Mayor of New Orleans and the Governor of Louisiana were abandoned by both these Democrat politicians. No food, no water, no medical care, no security, no shelter. Those are the facts.
In fifty years the Democrat Party has taken Black votes for granted, and given Black folk very little in return, except more poverty. I ask you objective folks to look at the faces of pain and anguish on those poor Black folk that the Democrat Party has held back, that are no different then you or me, or any other person for that matter. In that crowd of poor, displaced, lost folk, of which the majority are Black people could rise a President, Teacher, Doctor, Inventor, etc. if they were only given a chance to be reared and educated properly, and not made economic slaves of a political party that has forsaken them.
The Congressional Black Caucus and the NAACP are utterly useless. I just wonder when some reality Black leadership will come forward and grab the bull by the horns, and get Blacks fully assimilated in general American society. Anything less, no matter how much these Black idiots and useless politicians shout about racism, will keep Blacks chained to the bottom of the opportunity and economic ladder for decades to come, while Hispanics, and other minorities gain both powerful business and political power leaving the Black minority hanging in the wind.
The tragedy of the "poor" of New Orleans is as clear a picture of reality as one could ever hope for. I sincerely hope, with every fiber in my heart that Black folk take heed and see the world as it really is, and rapidly and immediately jettison the present "failed" Black leadership that has helped keep the chains of slavery alive and well in their own Black community. It is truly the Democrat Party that is the demon that mandates Blacks to a subordinate, dependent, low level existance, rather than preparing them to reap the benefits of a free society where every one has a fair and equal chance.
About 90% of the rescue workers are white. How racist is that?
I don't know a thing about Kayne West, only what he said tonight - is he the 'Rage Against The Machine' type? The thing is RATM could have been good if they shut up about politics!
"Maybe there wouldn't be quite so much Bush bashing if, once in a while, someone in the Bush administration stood up and denounced these lying scum who freely smear our President as a heartless racist.
I just came back from cspan.org and an earful of Dr. Rice tenderly empathizing with these b------s. So I'm a little too upset to say more."
Sometimes, the best way to dispel a myth is to ignore it. The less GWB says about how great and wonderful he is, the better he looks. If the Left can't make him respond to their jabs, he is the Better Man.
Absolute Truth stands alone. It needs nothing or no one to champion its cause because it is Absolute Truth. When all is said and done, GWB will stand on his history. He is honest and truthful, and I am proud of him and what he has done. He is as overwhelmed as the rest of the country, so don't sell him short.
'Face
The rest must would have to be retarded.
I gotta tell ya CY that the MSM doesn't flaunt racist white people on the tube like they do African American's who fan the flames. You would have to admit guys like West, Sharpton, And Jackson never have a problem getting face time to spew their racist opinions on how blacks are still being held down by white superiority over their lives.
But, it was George W. Bush's fault.
When I read threads like this one about West (never heard of him before this thread, btw), and the one about Ms. Couric's venomous interview of FEMA's Brown this morning, it makes me doubly glad that I rarely watch television anymore. It just reminds me that I'm not missing a thing.
BTTT
Looters are criminals. Period...I witnessed them first-hand in the Rodney King Riots in LA....
He is already suffering a backlash from someone the far side of the Atlantic!!
happygal, colosis and madivan, may I bring this strange thing to your attention, some guy called Kayne West (I know, I have no idea who he is either) said that Bush doesn't care about black people!! (just in case ye are interested!!!)
I heard the NAACP and the Black Caucus on CNN speaking in the same tone... as if GW doesn't care about them.
Let me know, OK? You got my FReepmail addy, right?
;o]
(I used to live in South Texas....)
I will say it again- people will believe what they want to believe. Apologizing for the actions of others (i.e. the incompetence of the state and local government) is wrong and a waste of time, since West will still believe that Bush hates black people.
Well said.
Where abouts? I'm about 40 miles from CC.
Thank you so much.
Durn, I can't get away from loud mouth idiots.
After watching a bit of the NBC Bush bash, I turned off the TV and decided to go to a local watering hole.
They had some local band I hadn't heard of. I paid my five bucks went in and got me a bourbon and water.
After a couple of mediocre J. Giles Band covers, the lead singer starts mouthing off about Bush screwing up the hurricane recovery.
I finished my drink, went up to the guy collecting the cover and passing out the wrist bands. I pulled my folding knife and sliced off the wrist band and told him I didn't pay to hear his band mouth off about my President and then left. (you should have seen his eyes when I pulled out my knife)
Don't even give Robinson's tin-foilage the time of day; no one else is. Teh story will go away.
