Yeah, and then the manager blamed us for not saying anything about all the other jobs this chick had been applying to and getting offers from. Well, it's not my place or business to go rat people out; in addition, I am not a supervisor. This is EXACTLY the crap that happens when there are quotas for hiring "minorities." This one was not only a young college grad, but female AND "Hispanic." Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out once there is a Hisp manager, and she only hires Hispanics (5 out of 5 in the last two years), there is something fishy going on.
I thought quotas and affirmative action stuff went away - apparently people still can't get jobs on their own merit.
Can anyone tell me what I should do when a co-worker claiming she's exerzing her free speech rights states she thinks Bush oughta be shot?
When I came back with asking her if she was just saying that out of frustration she only repeated the phrase "He outta be shot?
