Sounds like you have some turnover at the office...
did I just say that?
oh....and a judge, the other day, removed her from a law guardian assignment, and reassigned another lawyer to the case....one of the attorneys in our office.
Yeah, and then the manager blamed us for not saying anything about all the other jobs this chick had been applying to and getting offers from. Well, it's not my place or business to go rat people out; in addition, I am not a supervisor. This is EXACTLY the crap that happens when there are quotas for hiring "minorities." This one was not only a young college grad, but female AND "Hispanic." Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out once there is a Hisp manager, and she only hires Hispanics (5 out of 5 in the last two years), there is something fishy going on.
I thought quotas and affirmative action stuff went away - apparently people still can't get jobs on their own merit.
With any luck he'll remove her from every case his court hears...
I thought I dealt quite well with Miss Congeniality today. She decided she was going to play her little "I'm not going to talk to you" game. She also tried the "I'm not going to give you the satisfaction of doing anything for me" game. Instead of playing her power games and trying to find ways to persuade her to talk, when she said "I don't have anything else to say." I said, "neither do I. You can go." She stormed out and slammed the door. She will be really annoyed when she finds out that I'd already hung out with her son for awhile. This is without a doubt the most paranoid, defensive person I've had to work with in along time!
My other case made my day, though. The mom really appreciated me taking her down to spend time with her baby in neonatal ICU What a precious little girl. Kinda took the edge of the nasty b*tch with the attitude.
.
I slept in today, too. Now here it is 10:30, I'm still on my first cup of coffee, and I need to work. Got a bunch of stuff to do before starting a new week.
any with greater luck...she'll stop pretending to be a lawyer and quit the practice.....she really is incompetent; I'm surprised she hasn't yet be sued for malpractice....I wouldn't doubt by some point in time she will be. The other two attorneys in my office know how much I dislike her...but they know it's because there's no respect for her...she acts like a know-it-all, but really knows nothing....she dumps the whole case on the paralegal to do everything on the case; all she really does is sign her name to the documents; there's no direction from her, because she doesn't know how to do anything a lawyer is supposed to know. That's partly why the paralegal quit. It's quite frustrating. She's ignorant to the fact that she's a laughingstock in the area....
so cute pic!!!
LOL...get her!!! You hung out with your-co-worker's son? At the office, did she bring him in?
.
I just started my second, lol, and it's 11:40 a.m.
so....you're going in to the office today? : (
Besides; I never realized there was a dingbat quota.
that's a cool bridge pic; I love bridges....don't know why. When I was in NYC with my daughter a couple months ago...she was also fascinated with them...took a couple of the Brooklyn Bridge....
Sounds just like the dingbat, only the dingbat is making potential life and death decisions, and the rest of us are spending a lot of time running damage control. On top of that, she has absolutely NO people skills.
Maybe she'll run for office?
Morning Grannie
This is just a little local bridge not a famous as the Brooklyn Bridge. It has the advantage for me is that I can see it, way in the distance, from my window.
I did take a pic of the Brooklyn Bridge years ago, actually 40 years ago when my wife was pregnant. A great picture of New York thru the steel support cables.
Why are there so many dingbats? : )
Because the opposite if Libby's tagline is true...
