Well, sl, we got rid of our little dept. pet the other day, so maybe there is hope for you. She walked off the job, after being sent to training (and costing the company thousands). She is moving east to her supposed 6 figure job. All this after she dumped her bf while he is fighting in Iraq!! She had a total meltdown. Unfortunately, as per usual, we were left holding the bag and the assignments (which she didn't do even when she honored us with her presence). Good riddance.

When prices go down that is a recession?

Its all confusing to me I just never took the time to figure out recession, depression, inflation etc

Does this mean price in all areas will be coming down?

In the mean time we are being jack all over the place!

Morning gran I love that picture, for me, it looks as if it has been etched on glass.

This is the bridge at Pedrido which I visited a couple of days ago, it has such a vast expanse of sand at low tide.

well....this must be the week....my co-worker (another paralegal) quit yesterday....left a note for her boss (who's been out helping an outside attorney in a trial) and just walked out. She has a different boss than I...someone I used to have to work...I almost quit, too, a year ago; my current boss decided then, I think, it would be a good idea to have me work just for him, lol....yesterday, he handed me $200 before I went to lunch and said "thank you" for all your hard work. He's very nice; my-coworker's boss is not only ungrateful, but incompentent.

Another attorney put a call in to my co-worker and said if she wants to call him to discuss this over the weekend, she may....I thought that was very nice of him....my co-worker doesn't even work for him.

I know what you mean about the investment of time and resources. The dingbat dynamic is really taking a toll on the rest of us at work. I think it came as quite a surprise to her that she was actually expected to do something besides sit at a desk and tell other people what to do (especially when she doesn't know what the h*ll SHE's doing). She spent a week....1 week....on call, and when she turned up on the on call schedule again, she went nuts. I guess she thought it was a one time deal. HELLO!! Earth to dingbat! This is what we DO.
