You get a month's grace period? GAK! If you're caught the next day here, you have to park the car and you can't move it. You have to have someone come pick you up. It gets towed to a place where the inspection can be done and you get a ticket for having an out of date sticker then you have to pay for the towing and the new inspection! It's awful! This happened to Paul right after he got home from Paris last year. His sticker had expired a couple of weeks before, but since his car had been parked the whole time, we didn't notice it. I had to go pick him up, then, since it was the weekend, had to wait until Monday to go back and get it. What a pain!

Yeah, and no inspections either. I think emissions tests every other year.
