Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sand and Stone and Pool and Dell...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Mornin' everyone!
Not pay day until next Friday for me, but I ~am~ going riding tomorrow - so there's that!

That ain't bad. But Jr. and Luke won't eat it.
Plus, anything prepared like that and I might as well eat a box of salt...

That ain't bad. But Jr. and Luke won't eat it. Maybe we should start with a list of what they like. My Dad always won brownie points when Mom was away by fixing our favorites - the stuff Mom wouldn't let us eat. Unfortunately that wasn't very often. :)

Marie Callender's at that.
About three bajillion calories and (as Corin said) enough salt to last a year or two...but they are good!
IMO, of course.

Pizza. Fried Chicken. Fries. Ribs.
That just about covers Jr. I can order pizza for 'em tomorrow night. But I'm not telling the trainer I've had pizza. And Nana won't eat pizza.
(it's the cheese again...)
I'll figger somethin' out.

Jumbo pack of drumsticks.
Baking Pan sprayed with non-stick.
Badia Spanish Mojo applied liberally over top of chicken.
Wrap 3 spuds in foil and toss them into the oven around the baking pan.
Bake at 350 for 40 minutes. Check to be sure meat is not still pink and that potatoes are softened.
Eat and enjoy.
Tomorrow - salad in a bag with leftover chicken made into sandwiches. If feeling extra inspired make chicken salad sandwiches. Otherwise, light mayo, mustard, hand-shredded chicken meat, salt and pepper on whole wheat.
Voila!

Maybe frozen chicken strip type thingies, with vegetables of some sort on the side?
Granted, those are pretty high in sodium too, but otherwise they're pretty healthy.
