It's more of a Moot flick.
Just put it on and let folks comment as they walk in and out of the room.

I've gotta start watching more old movies.

Except that it's kinda PG-13 for...ahem. But I suppose if it wasn't during the day or if no one minded.
I'd at least come in to watch Jack drown all blue-lipped and stuff.

Dean Martin sings that when he's playing pool with Frank Sinatra in Robin and the Seven Hoods.

Ah yes. The "portrait" scene is a bit risque.
We could go straight to Disk 2 then. IIRC, that is all the sinking part.

I liked the "Night to Remember" version better.

I wanna see that at some point, if only because it's more about the disaster itself.
Bet the special effects are...special.

I like the commentary track...done by an historian and an art guy (I believe)

Watching "Titanic" is against my religion. Gotta be. I'll find it in the Book of Church Order somewhere, I'm sure.

I think I like the sappy 1950's version (with Barbara Stanwyck) better than the "Jaaaaack" version.

Speaking of books - my Mom alerted me to a good author: Michael McGarrity. He is native to NM and his mystery stories are set there. He writes some of the best "local color" I've come across.
To: Lil'freeper
Cool! I will keep an eye out for him at the library next time.
The annual library sale is taking place at the mall this weekend. I want to check it out but bah! I have school right now.

Hey suzi...you know how I really like my Anchor Hocking MicroWare? That brown stuff, you know? Heavy plastic?
I have a pan with a divided lid called a
Versatility Pan that is just the best thing ever! I just now warmed up my leftover spaghetti in it and It just does great! It's so heavy that the dish gets warm but not horribly hot.
I really like the stuff...constantly looking for it in the thrift stores!

You know, I think I used to have some of that cookware. I have no idea if I still have it somewhere. I might have taken it to MY local thrift store. ;o)
