The Hobbit Hole XXIV - Sand and Stone and Pool and Dell...
Please see our Hobbit Hole Troop Support project blog! ^

Posted on 08/24/2005 9:50:25 PM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sand and Stone and Pool and Dell...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

I'm not familiar with Evanescence.

Did you know that freeper Snake 65 writes science fiction and has his stuff published and even stocked in Borders?

Yep, episode 2... the 2-hour pilot episode wasn't shown until near the end of the series' run. Moreover, 3 or 4 episodes were filmed but never shown at all during the series' run... they were never seen by the public until the DVD set was released. Fox *really* screwed that show over with its scheduling.

Really? Idjits. Total brainless morons. I'd have been a fan when it first ran if they'd promoted it, my family eats SF. Of course I think Mom would have had trouble watching it with us - or us with Mom... it's sort of libertarian, isn't it?

Yeah, it is, sort of.

That's probably part of what I like about it. ;p

Yeah, it's fun. A liiitle more flesh and... such... than I really need. I like the snarky humor and the action and such better.

Breaking laws that need to be broken isn't just a libertarian thing, though, I like that attitude.
