I heard a song sung by her, Tall Georgia Pines today - I was completely stunned by the beauty of her voice.
Never heard of her. But I do love Evanescence.
I like her voice a lot, Sam. Almost bought one of her CDs the other day - I'd like to have some of her music, but I haven't quite gotten around to buying any.
Do you know her story? Kind of sad.
Oh, I meant to ping you to that post!
Yes, I've just been reading about her on the net. Died of melanoma about 10 years ago at the age of 33. Was so shy she almost wouldn't perform in front of an audience and wasn't convinced she was any good.
I gather that a friend who sings Celtic stuff got her a recording contract.
Heh... have you watched the episode where Mal kicked the bad guy into the operating spaceship engine? I think it was in the first episode broadcast, back when it was new... it was the moment that sold me on the show.
Sad that she's really only become known since her death. But she was great, for sure.

I've only heard a few singles of theirs..."My Immortal" and "Bring Me to Life". Rather eerie stuff...I don't know what the rest of their music is like.
Yeah, that was a good episode! Episode 2, wasn't it? So the Pilot wasn't show first? How did that make sense?
Awesome show, we're down to the last episode. Which is good because we're going to see the movie again, this time knowing who these people are. I think Rosie will really cry when ^censored^ is horribly killed ;-)
