How are you doing? How stormy is it?
That combo is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen in nature.
I can't imagine you having messed up anything involving the military guys. When did that happen?
Well... you got power... so things are blowing over about now?
Evenin'... [sip]
Roger that.
Hehehe, is that the time you got the feminist atheist lesbian Marine?
Let me go look...
OK. I'm back.
It's still breezier than normal, but we had only a few downpours from the storm here.
No flooding, thank goodness for that! Everything is muddy and mucky, but that's alright.
I do see a bunch of fresh limbs all over the ground. And they had just come through with the trucks last week to pick up most of the mess. ~sigh~
Glad it mostly missed you. Again. :-)
I think Galveston will not be so lucky.
I think the guys won't mind if they're not engraved. I think they are just thrilled with the idea of having such a wonderful tool at their disposal.
Glad it's past with no more harm done.
I think that's like a Phoenix resident describing the summer weather as "warm".
We've been so lucky since Andrew.
I really feel terrible for the folks who will have to bear the brunt of Rita, wherever she ends up.
Me too.
We had the shutters up this time and it wasn't anything like Katrina. We've decided to leave them up until hurricane season is over. :-D
I guess there are only a few storms that can build up enough energy to hit Florida with anything higher than a Cat 2.
I'm glad for that.
Oops, I forgot about that one. ;o)
Holey Moley... little item from the live thread. Comparing Katrina and Rita at the same point in their journey west:
Katrina
82.6 W Longitude
969 mb
100 mph
TS Winds 85 miles from center
Rita
82.6 W Longitude
969 mb
105 mph
TS Winds 140 miles from center
Yeeeow.
Oh man.
Galveston in my rear-view mirror...
Evenin'. I'm darn tired of bored meetings...Three in four business days. I said to the boss "what are you complainin' about? You scheduled 'em."
I'm headin' to Kentucky tomorrow for the weekend. Will be back late Saturday night. ~Should~ have Internet access whilst I'm there.
Got the message on the knives Hair. First month of skul gets tricksey, but will send more when I can.
300winmag, as for the engraving, if it gets 'em out quicker and cheaper, I'd pass on the engraving. I love it, and it's way cool. But I figger it's mostly for ~us~ anyway. And we're probably way beyond the point of ~needing~ to advertise.
Evenin' Corin.
She's purty, but she's dangerous...
