Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sand and Stone and Pool and Dell...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Demons scare the crap out of me, though. And I don't do horror - at all.

I'm sorry, my common sense just rebels at the idea of guys buying, you know, everyday undies for their wives. Well, FWIW, I don't wear a tie every day...

Why? Figure they will come home with something that has entirely to many mechanical fastening and adjustment devices? But yeah, somethings really need to be selected by the person that will wear it. Like ninja masks for example.

A reminder of what I'm up against, so to speak...

I think I've already provided enough amusement to the dwarves on this thread. But yeah, I mean, I figure it had to be a guy who invented the corset, for instance. Possibly a woman invented the tie.
"Mechanical fastening and adjustment devices" - yeah, I guess you're an engineer.

It's a pretty fast read. I enjoyed it, even though I didn't agree with all of its portrayals of demonic warfare and stuff. It was still a nice thriller. And it's nice to read a book that doesn't have swearing every other page.

Scarlet O'Hara had an 18-inch waist. Without the magic underwear.

Another reason Scarlett O'Hara should die. Painfully.

Lingerie or the big screen tv's.... yeah that'd work.

Ruh-roh...speaking of spending too much on clothing and stuff...guess what's gonna be one of the new stores at that place in Loveland?
Coldwater Creek.

Ok, it's a plan then. Men's Wearhouse, here we come! Ok, but brace yourself. Suits are expensive - even the inexpensive ones. You might need some cholesterol medicine to ward off the shock. Steve will probably only need one. You can fill the rest of his wardrobe with Docker-type slacks, simple dress shirts (that look nice with or without ties) and a sports coat or two.
Did I ever tell you the story of buying Big'ol his first post-Army suit? He was so precious! The MW salesdude selected three suits: black, navy, and dark olive. Big'ol picked the olive one! Teeheheee. I still tease him about not being able to let go of the olive drab. :)

Coldwater Creek. Ooooh purty stuff. Expensive, though. A Chico's opened up near here. Their stuff is more to my liking. It has more of a western/southwestern influence much like CC used to have. Expensie, though. :(
