New verse:

Still round the corner there may wait |

Home is behind, the world ahead, |
I'm counting on it. ;-)
Grab two or three friends and have 'em practice with you.
I still don't know what to wear! I have a skirt set sorta thing that might be good, but it needs some sewing, and I dunno if I can do it nicely. I know I can wear one of my two church dresses...but...
I'm tempted to try to find a new outfit. Not like I have a ton of dressy clothes. I did look a tiny bit yesterday as I had to run to the little mall here for something else, but mostly just looked at Penney's. Everything there seemed to be either too old or just silly. There was one set that woulda been fantastic, but the only one left had a blouse a size too small and a bottom two sizes too big - someone had taken different sizes and swapped, I guess.
I'd like to look at Talbots, but I'm afraid of the prices!
She, Clare, and their friends hang out at deviantart.com. They do live-journaling and chat there, and post their art for all their friends to see.
Heh...like I have local friends! And print isn't the same. I'm good at communicating that way...most of the time...after coffee.
I mostly just need to keep going through possible questions in my mind so they aren't quite so horribly new. But really...I've never handled any really big projects. I have no idea what I'd say was my greatest success. Etc.
Rubies are my favorites; also happens to be my birthstone! They're also much more rare than diamonds, but deBeers doesn't have a monopoly on the ruby market, so they're not as expensive as diamonds. ;o)
LOL!! Forgot about him!
Newtype, huh? I'm pretty impressed. Imitating favorite manga is exactly the way new artists learn in Japan, so I bet Emilee ends up doing her own stuff someday... and maybe Clare will help animate it or something.
Happy Friday all!
Good advice, thanks.
I'm mostly nervous that, in not knowing what to say, I'll babble a disoganized bunch of nothing interspersed with a lot of "does that kinda make sense?" or "do you know what I mean?" and look like a panicky airhead. ;-)
It's happened to the best of us :~D
Just remain a ~nice~ panicky airhead :~D
Ha!
OK...I think I can at least manage that. ;-)
Clare is interested in the University of Advancing Technology precisely because they offer a BA in Digital Video Editing. That major also requires courses in entreprenuerial skills; all of the majors at the school do. They want their graduates to be able to apply those skills for someone else OR for themselves in their own companies. I'm thinking of taking Clare and Joseph out there (Phoenix) during Joseph's April vacation to check it out. Clare wouldn't be going there for a couple of years, anyway, so we don't have to see it before she applies to colleges in December. Actually, the only college in which she's interested right now is Ave Maria Univ. in Naples FL. We're going down there for a visit in Nov., and she's going to ask if it's possible to defer enrollment until the second semester of her freshman year so she can go to Japan for the first semester.
Darn, I get a kitty picture in on post #5 of a zot thread, and they pull the thread after post #6...
Great! But you don't have to sleep naturally...let 'em knock you out if they will. I think what they gave me was Chloral Hydrate. I took one before I left the office and passed out in the car on the way home...Dad carried me in the house. Then later on, maybe that evening...my mom brought me another one and I slept the rest of the night. I had something akin to jet lag, I guess...it was very disorienting at first because I just skipped a whole 24 hour period...but when I woke up, I took off my eye patch (which was only needed so I wouldn't rub my eye in my sleep) and could see! I went from 20/2700 to 20/30 in 24 hours. It was fantastic.
Oh, I'm going to be praying for you like crazy Monday!!!
1300 hours! Check!
I went through some of that in my last interview too. Some of the questions I was fairly prepared for, but there was one that surprised me, and I just sat there thinking for at least fifteen seconds before I started to answer. Felt like a ~very~ long fifteen seconds with all three of us sitting there smiling at each other. But it didn't seem to matter 'cause I still got the job. Maybe sometimes, it's a good thing to not have too quick of an answer for everything. Dunno.
BTW - I called Ruthy's number... I think it's a cell phone number she calls me from usually, but got the voicemail. She may be leaving it off to save batteries.
Yes, everyone be sure to pray for her. It's no fun worrying about something like this.
Oooh, I'm really sore this morning, but I'm gonna bike in anyway. That kickboxing thing last night was hard, and I was so bad at it!
Ever try an upscale used clothing store? There is one here in town that is very picky about what it sells.
We'll be praying for ya.
